Khajiit in Skyrim.

Wtf? How do you get a wolf and a cat mixed together in any species??

Why is that stranger than mixing a man or an elf or an Argonian lizardy person with a wolf?

I despise them. Always have, and always will.

A person really has to like cats.

I cannot take a "cat person/ cat-man catwoman seriously.
I'm not a cat fan - I'm a dog fan. Just ask my dog who I fawn over and spoil, and the cat that... I never had, and would never want.
But I've played a Khajiit since Morrowind as a primary PC.
Partially because I always like the 'different', the 'outsider' and the 'underdog'. I also like their demeanor.
And partially because I can't customize any other race to look anything like me (save for Oblivion's Dunmer).

As said above. Getting everyone else to hate cats/lizards isn't a problem (just factions could be used to do it). The problem is that Beth/Modders would need alternate dialogue for almost every piece of dialogue already in the game. If you look at the opening scene, right after you get off the cart ... once you have selected your race ... there is a piece of unique dialogue to match your choice ... If they had to do the same thing for every piece of dialogue in the game it would have had a release date of 2021 (and a budget with lots of zeros on the end of that!) Sadly, it's just too much ... Voice Acting is the death of complexity (until someone gets Text-to-Speech to work ... when Voice will be the saviour of complex-gaming ;))
and it still might not work because of data limitations on DVDs

How is it different than mixing human and wolf? :)

BECAUSE BETHESDA DID NOT INVENT THE WEREWOLF.

The legend of werewolves has been around for thousands of years, and the VERY DEFINITION of a werewolf is a "Wolf - Man."

That is how it is different.

"Cat - wolf" is a complete joke.

Ever tried to breed a wolf and a lion? A dog and a cat?

W..T..F..?

Khajiit are stupid.

And I explained what was in the lore. Werewolves are a common type of werebeast in this game series' lore. Werecats of any kind aren't found in the province of Skyrim. They can't become werelions just because there isn't any in Skyrim to bite them.

Here's a site for the game's lore:

Then why are you here? o.o

and since when has Lycanthropy been the process of a Man making love to a Wolf?
I'm pretty sure that's not the case so, why would a Lion have to breed with a Wolf for that to happen?

your not really making any sense, go flame somewhere else :|

Not flaming.

I have a right to express my opinion.

Are khajiit not cats?

Are you trying to say that they are not cats?

My point is that taking a wolf and mixing it with a cat is absurd, stupid, and a total joke.

Khajiit can range from looking like Bosmer, Bosmer with tails, the kind we see in Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim, to actually looking like housecats. Some forms are even used as feline horses. I'm not trying to change anyone's mind, just giving the facts that the lore has. We all have a right to express our thoughts, and discuss them. This is called a forum, after all. Forums are not museums.

The Khajiit looked much like Bosmer in Arena, and were basically just furrier Bosmer with tails in appearance in Daggerfall.

I particularly found it gripping to be a khajiit in skyrim. Not just the province, but I mean the whole game. Being a dragonborn that's khajiit provides an unprecedented role in the game. Though native to Skyrim, my Khajiit is still considered an outsider. He likes neither the legion nor the stormcloaks, and willingly fullfills his duty as the dragonborn for his motherland. Not to mention, with a little illusion on the side, an assassin can aptly join every guild in skyrim. From an RP point, it gives those encounters with Khajiits a little more meaning. I'm a wanderer and it feels like I should be. Too much time out and about with my Nord and I feel like I should be back in Whiterun smithing something or drinking mead.

My whole playthrough with my wood elf I felt compelled to be a khajiit instead. So when i got it for 360, i made one. And i'm never going back.

You can express your opinion. But when you're a dike and use ridiculous logic, nobody cares. You don't breed a cat and a wolf to make a werewolf. That's not even close. Even if it was, because Khajiits don't synergize with lycanthropy (which is pretty lame anyway) they svck? That's absurd.

I'd love for your nord-imperial-whatever (they all look the same to me) try to kill my khajiit and see what happens. Your armor is worthless.

Hehe. Just thinking about it is actually giving me a good laugh.

Edit: Double post. like a boss

Gutslit has the arrows if you need them. Also got a bottle of spoiled skooma... Man that was a rough night. Why was Gutslit dancing with a mop?

I was quoting you from saying "Khajiit are Stupid", that's not expressed as an Opinion, you stated it as if it were fact.

So, are you implying that you had better luck with breeding a wolf and a man? I want to see the results!

Hey, maybe Khajiits like that are actually werebosmer? You know, you are perfectly good, cute looking suthay-raht, then you get bitten by a bosmer. When you transform you end up looking like a bosmer, who desperately wants to look like cat by the means of plastic surgery?

Werewolves are folklore and folklore obviously revolves around people because elves, Argonians and Khajit don't exist in the real world. If they did, there might be folklore about them being werewolves as well. But you can't breed a wolf and a man just as much as you can't breed a dog and a cat - men and wolves are as different as cats are to wolves, probably more so. Elves and Argonians are made-up humanoids that have nothing to do with wolves, but Bethesda still have them turn into werewolves. If Bethesda choose to decide in a fantasy game that humanoids that don't exist in the real world can undergo a transformation that doesn't exist in the real world, that's up to them.

Presumably the only Khajit that are still surviving in skyrim are the polite ones, and not those bad kitties that hiss when you approach.

Why do Khajits lick their butts?
To get the taste of Khajit cooking out of their mouths!
