Wow so many rude people. Don't be jealous you can't spend 4900 on your computer you lazy bums, get to work and start making some cash.

oh i could spend that much on one im just not stupid enough to do it i know a desktop is always going to be better and most of the time im sure i will be using a laptop for day to day things so why pay that much when you could go cheaper and get a desktop and a cheap laptop to surf the web or play lite games until you get home to use a monster pc

I have owned 3 Alienware PC's. 2 laptops and a desktop. the desktop is the area 51 P2 and the newer laptop is the m15x i just got in a month or so ago. i have never had any major problems with any of them that Alienware didnt take care of right away. they may be owned by dell but they still build their own products and superior quality ones at that. As far as your issues with black ops and Crysis 2 are concerned, i agree with a previous poster that said the coding in black ops is garbage. i run 2x gtx470's, 8gb ddr3, and 3.0 quad core and black ops doesnt run as well as it should based on my setup. Crysis 2 i havent had a problem with on either the tower or laptop. i have the nvidia graphics cards though so that may be the difference. ignore all these naysayers out here talking crap. Alienware builds a solid product. And bravo for buying what you want regardless of these idiots

I am using the new Alienware aurora desktop right now. Almost a year already and it's still freaking bad ass. Yeah one could say you are paying for the branding, casing, lights and stuff like that. But who give a **** anyway, as long as you are comfortable with your purchase. That's all it matters.

For the idiots around complaining, go beg or something.

You also have to remember that a Radeon mobility 5870 x2 is basically equal to a Radeon 5850 (assuming high crossfire scaling). Checking on what others with a 5850 have been saying is that they aren't able to play at max settings at 1920x1080, so don't expect the mobility 5870 x2 to be able too. Especially when you add in the Crossfire issues that people have been experiencing.

The amount of heat and power use of current graphics cards is making it increasingly harder for anything to be considered a gaming laptop these days.

I did not read ur entire post, but all i can say is...

My Alienware Area-51 desktop is FUKING BAD AZZ AND ALIENWARE RULEZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

;P

Custom build for the win can kick alienware's little gimmic marketing computer crap.

Trust me. You may have a good pc but custom build DYI computers are much powerful than your precious alienware.

It's like buying a pre-built DELL.
