Legendary Dragons are...

She had some of the best gear I've made, Daedric AR 650. But it's that drain vitality shout, it dropped her hp down in a matter of seconds. I've since enchanted all my sets of armor with magic resist. It was pretty funny, of course, climbing down the mountain to find her body wasn't so fun.

That drain vitality shout is quite something, isn't it? Even with 85% magic resist my health plummets when I get hit by that thing, and my stamina and magicka go to zero.

Oh god, it's terrible. I watched half the Solitude garrison get hit with a single shout and die within 6 or 7 seconds. It really makes you think about where you are standing when it flies overhead.

To be fair, I'm using a daedric sword that does tons of damage, but even as a vampire lord, I beat the tar out of them. Even on master, they're pretty easy. It takes a little bit of time, but it was far from being difficult. I kinda wish they'd fight me in pairs, that would be a challenge. My wife, Jordis, gives me more of a challenge. She can two-hit me, and she summons dragon priests when her health is low. 0.o

tbh, Derkeethus is stronger as well for me but Legendary Dragons are still hard to kill for me.. Since I don't glitch or upgrade the heck outta my weapons.

Dragonbane (with character past level 46 I think is when it is the strongest) + a high level sword ,axe, or mace+ Dragonrend

Works about 95% of the time (granted I'm Lvl 81)

I've been ready to face one for quite some time. The revered dragons have not really been a problem except when they hit me with the drain vitality shout 2 times in quick succession. Then I need a potion. I doubt the Legendary are anythiing special, just more health. I wish they would show up at a lower level, like 70. Grinding all the way to 78 ain't no fun (and is costing me bucket loads of cash for training sessions at every level.)
since you asked, they have the same lovely Drain Vitality shout that you get to learn in DG, only as you have far far less health then they do their shout is much much more effective. After the first time i got hit with that i started using Wards again.. Evil things. Just. Evil.

Amazing and Annoying I am lvl 81 and I had to fight a Legendary dragon, and Blood dragon at the same time. I think that must be a bug because you shouldn't have to fight more than one dragon at the same time.
Not a bug.. I've had to fight four dragons at the same time before.. involved a lot of hiding, ducking and running lol. Things like that is why Skyrim never gets boring for me

Someone found a Legendary Dragon at level 50 just by exploring randomly around the world.. Like, have you ever found that "Giant VS Dragon" random on the road? (It is a Random Encounter) Finding one of those at level 50 will give you a chance of a Legendary Dragon.. And I know some good spots to check out constantly.. Heck, I know a spot where you can back and forth between spawning areas that will constantly spawn such events as you keep going back and forth... Should make a video about it actually.

That was patched ages ago :(
Um, I just did it a couple weeks ago on patch 1.6/whatever the current patch is. Just get the book and use a book shelf and it works fine.

I play at master difficulty with a self-imposed limit of not using any fortify enchanting potions. So my smithing and alchemy gear only gets me to 25% better per piece, or 100% for the set. This gives 100% improve smithing from apparel and 120% improve smithing from potions. I then wear 4 pieces (gauntlets, ring, necklace, helm) of +40% damage bow, for a total of +160%, and 3 pieces (guantlets, boots, necklace) of +40% one-handed, for a total of +120%. Plus, of course, all 5 power perks for both archery and one-handed. I also enchant the weapons with 45 fire and 45 shock damage. (Armor is well above the 567 cap, I use Ancient Falmer. Magic resist is also at the cap of 85%)

As I said, the Legendaries are nothing special so far.

Trust me, I know the song and dance as far as enchanting goes. You run the risk of overdoing it when u enchant smithing and add a bunch of magic resistance. Of course its nothing special with all that crap on at the same time. Especially the armor rating being that high, which by the way, having the armor rating above the cap is useless since it stops at 80 percent damage protection. All that takes the fun out of everything when you got all that armor protection and magic resistance. You're a dime a dozen kid. Nuthin special.

This is some-what true.. If you raise your armor rating over about 2,000 (If my memory corrects me), music will NOT play when fighting Ancient Dragons.. (You know, that epic Dragon Music? It wont play if Armor Rating is high enough)

I'm aware, but the damage protection is still 80 percent. Not sure why any1 would want to make their armor rating around 2000.

I actually made myne at around 2,300 on accident at one point.. All I did was use a potion and worn enchanted gear. (No Cheats/Glitches)...

Not having the music really annoyed the heck outta me.

Yeah, I'm sure you're right, I should fight legendary dragons with a long bow and iron dagger while naked and no magical defenses. /sarcasm
