Yeah I read that. Good book. Oh, and yes levitation should be in the game. Also waterbreathing and slowfall.

No. Because then players would exploit it. Also it woudn't look good to see citys from top. You know it would look weird.

Waterbreathing. I will let that one go and Slow Fall.

I think only slowfall of itself would've been quite a nice addition.. But there's still the problem with towns and the walls around them and the fact that they are separate cells.

Let it go already. We, and they, are well aware of the general displease of some players about the removal of levitation.

Levitation is one of the few instances where I agree with the devs on cutting the content.
Levitation was broken as hell. You just fly up and half the population can't touch you or damage you.

Others I really miss are jump, teleportation, cure disease, dispel.

I've found it in a few places.

Spoiler
Theres a set of ruins (not mapped) southwest of Whitrun. You do the puzzle and a gate opens up and I think its scripted to be there.

across three characters ive found it in the same spot

in the Whiterun district borderland area there should be a stone henge like thing out there where two friendly wandering giants roam at the stone henge like thing should be a puzzle pillar

solve the puzzle and a cage in the ground near by should unlock its in the chest at the bottom of the stair well

This is one of these things where bethesda probably just wanted to simplify the game, just because it is in a book doesn't mean it has to be in the game.

It wasn't taken out to simplfiy the game, it was taken out because of the addition of walled cities (compared to Morrowind's opened cities) and because it allows the player to escape certain scripted events.

I would think even bots would tire of repeating this same tired old nonsense. Levitation was canned because the devs were too busy making kill cams, [censored] UIs, and game-breaking bugs to work on something that would have added awesome avenues of fighting and dungeon building.

As for half the population not being able to touch you....oh noes! Proper balancing would have been all one needed to ensure that the half that could fight a levitating adversary were able to do so effectively.

Right. That whole "impossible to have Levitation in a game with separate-cell cities" argument was just a clever ruse.

And levitation was canned in Oblivion, before they implemented any of the things that you're whining about.

Levitation has huge balance issues, I'm all for more stuff coming back from the past that was cut like Spears and Spell Creation but Levitiation isn't one of them.

I guess it couldn't hurt to have levitation, I s\didn't play Morrowind so I dont know if its broken or not. I would however like to see a teleportation spell, that would be cool.

Another tired repetition of a nonsensical talking point.

The simple truth: the current development staff were not competent enough to produce the defined game world given the constraints they were working under. So they had to cut corners.

And it shows.
