What exactly do you mean? I use Netflix for about 2-3 hours a day on my 360 (don't have cable). There's a 250gb monthly cap on my DSL, you wouldn't think I would hit that would you?
Also for some reason when I watch Netflix on my 360 it'll show 3 bars on the signal but not HD (unless maybe the content I watch isn't in HD, but I would think most things are) whereas when I used Hulu it would always be in HD.
I wish I could sort of monitor my bandwidth usage, but I'm not sure if there's an option for that anywhere through my internet provider.
Anywho, yeah I use my 360 as much for Netflix and media as I do for games and I enjoy it.
Also for XBLA games, I recommend Trials Evolution. It's a blast. Frustrating, but addicting, and the multiplayer is awesome. Torchlight is a good one too, and in two weeks Minecraft should be pretty cool.
HD takes a minute to kick in.I have the same thing happen but tap down on the controller about a minute or 2 into amovie or show and you will see its playing in HD.I just wish Netflix had the option as Zune,as to wether or not you want to watch a movie in SD or HD.Also as far as i can remember either US Federal court or the Supreme Court, didn't pay much attention at the time when the article came out a year or 2 ago,was that cable and phone companies cannot limit or charge you extra for your bandwidth usage unless that is expressly stated in your contract.
On my days off i'll sit and watch monster and Sci-Fi movies all day long, which is one of the reasons i wished Netflix had an option..as i don't want to be a bandwidth hog.Watching a movie,or show,in SD is around 1 to 1.6 GB..Watching the same in HD is around 5-7 GB..Honestly though i pay $10 a month for XBL another $8 for Netflix and about $80 to my phone company for the internet package. How is me paying paying $100(to several different entities) and watching several movies or shows a day,or twice a week, any different then someone paying $80 a month and watching cable 24/7 for 30-31 days.
