I love my new X-box 360...

Post » Thu May 03, 2012 7:04 pm

But I wish I can download stuff in the background like my PS3 does---this thing downloads slow (and I have a high speed internet) and with l-i-t-t-l-e m-o-n-e-y (if you guys don't know what that jokes about, In FF:Tattics there's a dialog in the opening and when the words "little money" pop up the text scrolls very slowly). But I love this thing the graphics appier sharper and brighter then the PS3 but all in all I like them both. So what kind of 360 games should I start looking for. I already have:
Halo: Anniversary edition.
Halo 3.

Will get:
Star Trek Legacy (I miss this game).
Halo Reach.
Gears of War series.

It's a setting on the Xbox, called background downloads, which when enabled allows you to download things with your Xbox turned off, which I think is what you're referencing.

Dark Souls unless you already have it for the PS3.

Where can I activate this on the unit for future downloads? I've already aged 10 years waiting on my current download . Oh and are there any free gamer pictures or themes on XBL?

I think it's on the system settings menu.

It will pause downloading when you do something that requires the internet connection, for example multiplayer gaming or watching Netflix or something and resume when you're done. If you're playing singleplayer it will usually continue to download in the background.

As for other games, Gears of War 1-3, Forza 4 (way better than Gran Turismo in my opinion), and I recommend Modern Warfare 3.

Mass Effect series is pretty intriguing... Dragon Age is also fun...

Not many good xbox exclusive games that I know of, I love PS3 exclusives though. God of War <3.

Lost odyssey, The Last Remnant, The Witcher 2 are good. Fable 2 and 3 are worth checking out since they are cheap. Some good download games are Puzzle Quest 2, Defense Grid, Castle Crashers, and Bastion.

You can download stuff in the background (which I assume you mean while playing games), if I recall correctly. Sometimes the download will get interrupted on some games while in multiplayer though.

Lost Odyssey
I've been kicking the dirt around a bit deciding if I'm going to get it or not, I had it but sadly I traded it away a few years back. I think I'm regretting it.

It's just about the same as watching movies straight from the website.

It's not too bad. Personally I use my PS3 for media/netflix and it is better but it's not that much different. Also I get better signal with my Xbox because it has wireless N and my PS3 only has G.

I do this too.

Tbh, I hardly use my Xbox now. My old one broke and I bought a new one... I could have spent that money on such better things because I never use it :(

That's odd my 360 has always had the better connection.

As for exclusives go for these;

Alan Wake
Blue Dragon
Call of Duty 2
Fable II
Fable III
Halo ODST
Left4Dead
Left4Dead2
Lost Odyssey
Mass Effect
Metro 2033
The Witcher 2: Assassin of Kings
Bastion
Fez
Tales of Vesperia
Eternal Sonata

I'm sure there are more noteworthy ones but those are the ones that I either own or come to mind.

I mean the layout. The navigation is much better on the PS3. When I went to use it on the 360 I didn't like it at all.
