m1911 and .45 ammo someone show me

Post » Sat Feb 19, 2011 6:32 am

lets face it, right now for the Real Guns Go Bang Bang not pewpewzapzap we have

22 caliber round
9mm round
10mm round
.357 magnum round
.44 magnum round
12.7mm round

20 gauge shotgun shell
12 gauge shotgun shell

5.56 mm(Posible)
.308 caliber round
.50 caliber round

25mm grenade
40mm grenade

Missle

Mini nuke (ok techicaly this one is for the "Guns should go Go KABOOOOOM! bunch)

adding in the .45 probably will not even be noticed at this point.

5.56mm is guaranteed just look up any of the Fallout New Vegas vids that contain a Light Machine Gun & are decent quality you'll see that its firing the 5.56mm (You'll have to pause when it comes up in the menu to see it) so I think you could probably put 7.62mm down as a possibility at this point. :tops:

Has the 30-30 even been considered for some lever-action rifle? I've heard like nothing about any 30-30s yet

This. I can't believe that a thread asking about the m1991 and .45 ammo is on its third page...

Go to any medium size hunting gear store here in texas, the odds are that your going to see a good 20X20 foot section in the Reloading section thats strictly the diferent bullets you can get.

and the odds are good that if you got 10 people in that store who reload there own you will give you 10 diferent answers as to whats the best combination of casing, powder, Bullet and gun for that bullet.

and the conversation is invariably polight because no mater how mutch one person may love his favorite combination of the above, he knows that hes talkin to 9 other people who are very familiar with THERE fav combination of the above. . . .

7.62 is already in the game. The commercial version of the 7.62 NATO round is the Winchester .308.

Good. Find your own threads. Leave the gun threads to us gun nuts. Nobody's holding a gun to your head to read them, right? much less make posts that don't contribute to the conversation? (get it? holding a gun to ... post in a gun thread? C'mon, that's funny... right?)

No. Elvis decided that we'll use pistol rounds for the levers so we can practice some weight economy for HCM. So we gots .357 & .44. I'm ok with that. You can get all those guns, Yellow Boy, 1894, SAA all in those chamberings. But he also specifically told me that .45-70 Gov would be in the game, and I can't think of a single gun we've heard about that would use that chambering. He's either put in the BFR or a single shot rifle that we haven't seen yet.

Off Topic Winchester .308 so expensive. I can't get any military ammo all being used for war.

On Topic: I kinda skimmed this topic, I have been away for six days. Can anyone give me a link where the Tommy was confirmed. If so then the .45 ammo will be in the game. Can't be a Tommy Gun without .45 cal.

Thanks. It would be good for the next person that posts that "the Tommy Gun is in" to show proof like a Dev saying it's in or game play video.

I don't have the pics downloaded but I did take some great pics of WW2 propaganda posters as well as some awesome things from the cold war era at the Ottawa War museum. Entire time I was their I could not help but think of Fallout :fallout: To bad my friend has very slow internet :banghead:

It has gotten a bit off topic, and all of this off topic talk reminded me of a friend that used to always badmouth the 9mm round. We were out shooting one day. He had a .45 Ruger, I think at that time I had a .40 Sig and another friend had brought a 9mm Beretta that day. He started his 9mm rant, and was telling some story about a guy he knows that knows a guy that knows a guy that's a paramedic that picked up a guy hopped up on coke that took a full magazine of 9mm and still kept going and injured the cop that shot him. The guy with the 9mm Beretta asked to see his .45 Ruger. He told him to walk out about 20 yards and tell him which gun he'd rather be shot with. He never ranted about the 9mm round ever again.

The entire thread is about asking that question along with wanting to know if the m1911 along with .45 ammo was confirmed or not, which it is not. So the thread ended a long time ago, its now a gun nutt discussion . . . I guess.

Sorry about that. I just skimmed the topic last night. I had just got back from being on the road for 7 hours (driving). I see now I was agreeing with you about wanting solid information. It would be awesome for .45 cal ammo to be in. I really enjoy shooting a M1911 :D.

I think this might be proof that the colt 1911 is in the game http://www.project610.com/files/Colt%20.45.jpg and http://www.project610.com/files/colt%20.45%202.jpg. Pic taken from this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UF7Kpb-hSfc. Pic one Benny's Gun 4:30 in. Pic two 6:55 in. Hopefully it's .45 cal and there will be other .45 cal weapons like the Tommy Gun.

Benny's gun looks like a High Power (a.k.a. the 9mm pistol) and picture 2 looks like the Virgin Mary Pistol (unique 9mm)

Granted, the High Power and 1911 look pretty similar.

You can tell that they're both the Hi-Power by the hammer. Look at the hammer in both pictures and compare them to the http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/c/c2/Browning_High-Power_9mm_IMG_1526.jpg.

It could be the Virgin Mary Pistol in pic two and Benny's gun could be an HP 9mm but they do look like a colt 1911. http://www.project610.com/files/images.jpg, http://www.project610.com/files/VMP.jpg, http://www.project610.com/files/HP%209mm.jpg.

I guess it could be wishful thinking. My hopes are that Benny's Gun is a .45.

It looks more like the Hi-Power to me. Both guns do look alike as they were both designed by browning. Not to say that I don't want the good 'ol M1911 in the game. It's one of my favorite pistols.

The easiest way to differentiate a M1911 from a P35 is to look at the front of the slide. The slide on both weapons makes up the entire top of the pistol and is the part that moves when the action is cycled. Look specifically at the front end of the slide. On the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:M1911A1.JPG, the front of the slide has no machining that necks down the thickness on the first coupla inches or so. The http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Browning_High-Power_9mm_IMG_1526.jpg has a noticable neck, with the vertical line formed by the machining merge easy to see at any time since it is on the most visable part of the weapon. There are other visual cues, but this is the most easy way to tell the difference.

You're right. My last couple of posts don't look like a colt 1911. In my excitement and wanting a colt in the game I over looked the details. It's a great gun.

There is no point in moaning about the lack of a 45ACP model 1911 in the game as
there will be mods providing such very shortly after the games release.

Of course, if your not using the PC version, well pity.

I'm a fan of the 45ACP
and model 1911 types as well. I've never figured out why the devs ignore the round. Seems daft.

Anyway, it is what game mods are for, to fix [censored] ups like this.

I am thinking that as well. That or the Devs are keeping it a big secret. I just don't understand why it would not be in the game. Fallout Two has it and so does Tactics. It would be a big mistake to take it out. The devs are keeping alien powercells but they will not bring back the .45 cal ammo?!! :banghead:

Guess that's the case but think about those poor people that don't play on a PC. They will miss out on the fun :sadvaultboy:

Its a question of what weapons do you use it for. Josh doesn't want to model a round that only used in one gun. Also, how many SMGs and Autopistols are already in the game? If there's no room left in the weapon heirarchy to add the guns we want, then they basically just become alternate skins of the same gun. What's the point of that? They decided Hipower and Grease gun rather than .45 and Thompson. They could have done either.
