... yet again, I'll re-iterate: hand cannons.

Also, while we are bussy requesting controversial mods. I want an armored bear mount.

Bear Cavalry? Do want!

And i'd prefer a Dragunov. Imagine, a khajiit with an SVD. Now there's a killing machine :P

If it's possible to do it right in Skyrim by adding a new weapon and not just a staff that looks like a musket, I plan on adding muskets eventually.

I think an automatic crossbow would be more realistic. Kinda like the one in Van Helsing the movie

If it were ever implemented it would probably work very badly. Currently the only projectiles are slow moving arrows and spells, there's no way getting a projectile moving as fast as a bullet would not make the game scream out in pain. Furthermore the standard method of ascertaining what a shot hits in gun-based games is via raycasting, not firing a physical bullet entity using physical body collisions, as far as I know there is no in-built way for this to work, therefore the script extender would be a necessity, and thats not even guaranteeing it would ever be supported or work. With enough people interested in doing it maybe someday, but as you may have guessed the majority of people are not inclined to make this mod as it doesn't suit their tastes.

There, I gave an objective answer to your question; merry [censored] christmas.

I don't get why some are so offended by a mod they don't have to use? Just don't use it, I for one would like a nice sniper rifle, laser scope and all. After all this land has been technologically backward for thousands of years, time for some tech breakthroughs.

Brilliant idea, someone please do this!
Maybe you could be a comando sent back in time to kill some guy, make it canon if you want, just write some [censored] lore about thousands of years in the future some guy goes back in time to the 4th era?

But yeha, guns in skyrim would be awesome!

Mate, try thinking of something that FITS with the game world. Its got nothing to do with the AK, its to do with the idea of guns in general in a TES game that people think is stupid.

That looks more like its from a MODEL cannon than something one would hold.....

The 1300's aren't exactly considered "ancient" :) But I think a European hand cannon would make more sense, as it was wooden, and doubled as a spiked club once you fired the single pellet.

Funny, Skyrim basically has robots (which remind me a lot of those in Thief Metal Age, btw) , but a firearm?! OH NO!

Ok, how about an AK-47 shaped staff that's held horizontally?

All the materials are there, metal and wood... It could fire small fireballs!!

Side note here: if you want a reference point for how to get away with guns in a fantasy setting, look at Arcanum. It's set more in an industrial revolution timeframe than medieval, but it combines magic and guns very well.

Yes it is possible, there were gun mods for both Morrowind and Oblivion. I hope there will be a few mods that add guns for people who enjoy them, I don't see why everyone is being so uptight/judgmental about it... it's not like anyone would be forced to use these mods. :shakehead:

Seriously. Those of you who are so harsh on this idea need to lighten up. This is a game, after all. Who really cares if it's within lore? Some will have fun with it, and that IS the point of a game.

If you don't like it, don't use it. But knocking those who do is just dumb.

Haters gonna hate, If you realy detest the idea of it so much, ignore it. There are plenty of people who have different tastes and want to experience things differently.
I wouldn't want to use a gun in Skyrim, but that doesn't mean i immediatly hate on everyone who does.
