As far as I can tell the OP was wondering if the BoS had their own currency, and could we exchange caps or something for it. Well here's my thoughts on that.

1) The BoS doesn't work like that, they take in tech items but rarely sell them.
2) The BoS appear (so far) to be such a small player in FONV, that it wouldn't matter if they had thier own currency or not.
3) At this point in the Fallout timeline, both NCR and Ceaser's Legion probably have tech at least as good as what's left of the BoS does now.

Actually they were quite open about selling items in Fallout 1.

Nah, I think he just wants to play as an important Biblical figure.

This is the most ridiculous thread I've seen in a long time haha.

I voted no because th BoS shouldn't have their own currency. It makes no sense. Pre-war money has value in caps and that's good enough for me. why would you need BoS currency?

Pre War Money is just worthless pieces of paper, who would want that?
You would need working banks (propably with something that has value, like gold) to support currency like that.

i use it my spelling is just so bad that it doesn't fix it all

Spellcheck does not fix your horrible writing. It tells you when you have done it so you can go back and fix it. Now go do an English course and learn about capitalization and such.

Fallout Tactics is sort of a sensitive subject when it comes to official lore.
And that was the Mid-Western BOS.
They're totally different from what I recall from the Western BOS.

Nah, not the game.
Parts of the game is official lore.
Like, Mid-Western BOS exist.
That they do.
But other things do not exist.
Such as them accepting intelligent deathclaws into their ranks. (Since all Intelligent Deathclaws except for Goris and Xarn are dead)
That is not canon.

So it's semi-canon.
The major parts of it is canon.
Like the fact that they do exist and they did in fact fight the Calculator and his army.

Sure, but why would the BOS have their own currency?
There's no real need for them to use scripts in Vegas.

In either case they'll likely ask you to bring them 7000 sensor units and repay you in kind with your choice of stimpacks, rad away, or 5.56 ammo.

Oh wait that was the outcasts >.>

For such a small faction they'll likely make use of bottlecaps (if any at all) to repay/interact with the denizens of the wasteland. They'd have no use for the other 2.

I...I really don't understand this thread at all. What is he saying about money?

Edit: Spectre- I think you're confusing the Spellcheck option with a 'verbose' option. (Come to think of it, a verbose tab would be pretty hilarious.)

Would be nice to have that option.

The BOS don't need currency, they have plasma bolts and laser beams to pay off debts and interest.

But why would they need currency?
They want something then they just take it.
And why would they need their own currency?
In Fallout 1 they traded weapons with people, what good would monopoly money do to the traders who trade with BOS?
The Caps which was the current currency originated from the Water Merchants.
In Fallout 2 NCR had expanded and created a new currency, gold.
In Vegas we have Caesars Legion who never were in contact with the NCR or Water Merchants up until now so they created their own form of currency.
But why would the BOS need to have their own monopoly money that isn't worth anything outside the BOS bunker?
There isn't any reason for them to create their own currency.

So yeah if they wanted to they could create their own but it isn't worth anything.
Their currency would be monopoly money to any outsider.

Not true. Fallout Tactics is semi-canon. So far all we know is that they existed in the Chicago region, but how much of Tactics is canon is up for debate.

Why do you sem so obsessed with EVERY faction having their own money? Thats just annoying to try to imagine implementing. Because then you'd have to measure in cross currency inflation/deflation values, the whole thing is just a mess to be honest.

yes but with any fall out not all of it was canon id gauss it was about the same amount of canon as fall out 1 2 and 3 had and i want every faction to have currency because it would add some advantages to the game and some more depth
