More people will side with the NCR because their armor is co

Not a Kukri, it's closer to a Falcata (though it's not exactly a Falcata. Like Sawyer said, some of the weapons are only based off of other weapons, or are an amalgam of multiple weapons). The Kukri has more of a boomerang shape as the center of the blade juts out. The Legion Sword is straight, but the head of the blade is much wider than the back of the blade, similar to the http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330382474186&rvr_id=138930291682&crlp=1_263602_263622&UA=WXS%3F&GUID=4bcbd8a912a0a02676821602fffa5b58&itemid=330382474186&ff4=263602_263622#ht_500wt_928

This one is wooden, but it's closer in design to the Legion Sword: http://www.medievalmatters.com/wooden-falcata-sword-p-901.html?zenid=30a9b5ed31f1aac77ba7e1cd0d799ee5

When I heard it would be a bent blade I pictured a greek sickle sword. But its to straightand angular.

Fallout 3 I mostly wore leather armor or clothes... We'll have to see how much DT affects my armor choices now. I had so many hit points by end game that it didn't really seem to matter what I wore in F3.

Both factions have great armor, but i'm my first play-through i might go with the legion. I love their roman style armor and i don't mind skirts at all. Only real men wear skirts! :mohawk: and trannys too...

I will most probably pick-up NCR desert armor because of the looks, but most likely not join them. I will need the armor because.. it fits if i am going to make a http://screenshots.filesnetwork.com/11/potd/1201524175_16.jpg character. :toughninja:

The whole thing about friendlies attacking you if you wear enemy armor complicates things. It's kind of messed up that you'd get attacked for wearing armors that you loot en mass from enemy bodies. Some armors should be probably be neutral for the sake of not pissing everyone off. Who's really going to pass up Power Armor? If the NCR attacks me for wearing T51b, the whole hostility system is just jacked up. What if you wear NCR armor with a Legion helmet? This is probably going to prove complicated.

Well, with the disguise system if you're trying to pass yourself off as a member of an enemy faction the officers of that faction can identify you.

So I'd hope that would also work for friendly fire incidents of an allied faction mistaking you for an enemy. If you can get to the officer he'll tell everyone to stand down and you'll be cool for a while.

Or maybe you can just yield to them (put your weapon away) and then they realize you're a friend.

I'm not even worried about the uniform thing, to me it sounds awesome and realistic. In Fallout 3 I should have been shot by the BoS for wearing full Enclave power armor. :gun:

I don't know which faction it belongs to but the coolest armor in NV so far is defintely the Desert Armor.

You're in luck because the Legion have http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20100905012138/fallout/images/8/88/Legion_Sword.jpg which are... sort of a sword I guess, at least they use it that way. But what with the fighting in Vegas' urban environments, it makes more sense to have something shorter.

I just saw that, and I gotta say, I'm quite disappointed abit :(
I'd have preferred something abit longer, like a short sword, as long/short as the Original Roman Sword. It's Ironic how Legion is based on the Romans, yet they're using the weapons of Rome's enemies xD

well it′s kinda hard to find a good short sword anolog that can look similar to a roman sword, at least the above is just clearly some form of machete or other survival blade that′s been tinkered with.

Edit: Some people are missing the point of this post. Obviously you can pick up armor off of a body. I meant that you will like the faction more because of how cool they look.

Eh. No. If they're a bunch of evil jerks (or condescending jerks, etc, etc, etc) I wouldn't want to be part of their group no matter their look. (And I'm not saying the NCR will be, I'm just speaking in generalities).

Although admittedly some of the NCR gear is cool, like that NCR Desert Ranger armor with the light up red eyes, I'm going with NCR on my first play through mostly because they are crawling all over the place including New Vegas proper, while Caesar's Legion seem to be in the outskirts plotting and fighting their way inward.

I'm not sure what authority the "off duty" NCR soldiers have in New Vegas, but since the Securitrons seem to be maintaining the order there, but I don't really want them going aggro on me when I'm to do my Vegas stuff... =p
