I second Camoran's paradise. The whole place was just so creepy, walking along and seeing all the peaceful dead cultists walking around one minute and getting mauled by daedra the next. There was just something eerie about it, especially going into the grotto and realizing it wasn't what it appeared to be.

And the Heart Chamber in Morrowind gave me chills. Walking in and seeing that huge flesh robot and all the red and Dagoth Ur screeching at you...freaky.

The ice palace in northern Solstheim is interesting too (starts with a K iirc). Especially finding the monster's bedroom with that huge hay nest inside and skulls all over the place.

The whole region around Suran is very pretty as well, imo.

Some of my favorites include: Dagon Fel in Morrowind, it's amazing to see the city built around the Dwemer ruins there. Old Mournhold, it was a mysterious, large, and dangerous place (maybe I'm just obsessed with ruins). Also, I liked Skingrad and the surrounding area, a wine country run by a vampire is just cool.

And I have to admit I like hearing the high-pitched roar of an ash storm swirling around you and then looking over to see a citizen covering their eyes trying to navigate through it.

Camoran's paradise was haunting, the Telvanni region in Morrowind was great i loved the design. The ice palace in Solstheim was done well, Sheogoraths relm was done beautifully too in a twisted sort of way...

Balmora, late evening, just got off the strider, my first time here, a seemingly big and lively town mostly covered in mist, few torches here and there, the strider rider biding his farewell...

Arknghtand, tall towers of never before seen dwemer ruins sprouting from the ground, a lever, a shreeking sound, the doors open, then darkness, a torch, first few steps, some bandits, a level down, the centrifuge...

I also enjoyed the climix of Ascadian Isles (although I used a foliage mode Ascadian Trees or something like that most of the time) and Solstheim's forests at night during a blizzard.

I'll have to go with the Priory of the Nine, it was so tranquil and located in one of the most beautiful areas in Cyrodiil.

Chimera of Desolation (level 5 of BS) made an impact. It was just so cool and scary.

Inside Ghost Gate was also terrifying the first time I went there. I just hope the baddies would be extremely lethal there, so it would keep scaring you more than only the first time.

The most atmospheric place in TES4 was outside the game area, where there was nothing but hills and trees (northwest of the map). That was the only place I found that reminded me of real nature or landscape, maybe because of the lack of enemies jumping on my face and the GPS that was silent about the POIs for a change. :D (Haven't played with atmospheric mods, if I ever go back to it I will.)

The bitter coast, Solstheim, Balmora, and alot of places in Cyrodiil. Entering the abandoned house in Cheydinhal for the first time, for instance. Also walking the streets, hearing the people talk about rumours and news.

Daggerfall dungeons. Doors creaking or slamming shut. Noises echoing around you. The moans of monsters hiding in the shadows. That music. Everything about them was awesome at being creepy.

In Morrowind...The heart chamber. Any Dwemer ruin, or perhaps Ebonheart.

2. Camoran's Paradise

Arena: The Eternal grove. That's right, I managed a location for Arena!
Daggerfall: The hedge garden behind Wayrest Manor, Sentinel, and Direnni Tower are all favorites of mine.
Morrowind: Suran at night...cozy yet very haunting. I also like the Ashlander tomb you go through to acquire the Bone-Biter Bow, the area where the cavern is a vertical shaft with platforms (lined with mummies) spiralling upwards, waterfalls around you.
Oblivion: Haven't played Oblivion extensively, but I'd say Anvil at any time of day or Weynon Priory, which I still find to be a very peaceful place.

ARENA: Evermore (simply because it was my character's spawn location. First play. First ES game.)
Daggerfall: Some inn whose name I forgot. In Gothway Gardens.
Morrowind: Balmora. Light rain, with fog. The sounds... *tear of nostalgia*
Oblivion: I am unsure.

Walking around Balmora in expensive clothes and walking around Ald 'Ruhn in redoran armor always left an impression on me.

Oblivion has a lot of places like the Shivering Isles at night with the clear sky, Dive Rock on a clear night, and Camoran's Paradise.

Morrowind doesn't really leave as much of an impression because of the limited draw distance.

That have to be east Morrowind. I just feel immersed when walking in Sadrith Mora and other Telvanni cities.

Balmora also.

Many parts of Morrowind and Daggerfall give it that pleasing atmospheric atmosphere.

Oblivion: Kynareth's Sacred Grotto, from KoTN, where the boots are stored.
