not really a dire mistake but i recently got a review from work, in summation we are graded on many things and there are 5 ranks; 0,1,2,3,4. 0 being a horrible employee and 4 being a saint.
my review landed me a 1 even though i know i should have gotten a 2, i really did not defend my self on some of the stuff of which the ranked me down even though i know i did better than they observed.
1 isn't bad, its a "can use improvement" type of grading.
the thing is I am the top 3rd sales person at the hardware store i work at and i feel as if my review should reflect that, rather than the newbie grade i ended up with.
My best friend works at a bike shop and he was in a similar situation. He had been working there 6 years and he hadn't received a raise. He was one of the best employees there and he would take his coworkers customers because they'd be too lazy to. He isn't a sales person where he worked either, he builds the bikes. He told me he had to go as far as almost quitting to get his deserved raise. I've never seen him so pissed. He got his raise though.
