i would personally find the idea of lieutenant hayes, he seems pretty cool, he seems like 'the badass who doesnt care what happens around him, he just does his job'
....or we could somehow get brock sampson in here :shifty:

That would make two NCR companions, I doubt we'll get more than one.

Someone mentioned that Sunny Smiles is a temporary companion and it got me to thinking of a Fallout 3 exploit where you could get a whole army of companions as long as you didn't complete their quests.

So you could could technically get Sunny to follow you the whole game along with any other companions as long as you don't complete her little quest. As long as it plays like Fallout 3 anyway.

There will be seven according to this:

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2010/07/14/tech/gamecore/main6678284.shtml

There are four already confirmed. One less than Fallout 3 but understandable considering there will be all around more depth to them this time around. Hopefully we get some more oddball mutants or robots in the remaining slots, never been too fond of the normies. I'd rather take up my cause with ghouls or deathclaws.

No she follows you through the toturial, and takes you out to shoot geckos at the begining. So I doubt we can hold onto her, or give her weapons, and such.

Josh used the pronoun "IT". Josh seems to be a pretty precise guy with his language usage. He either used the neutral pronoun in reference to "finding it", the fact that there is a follower or he slipped and used the neutral pronoun in it's precise sense meaning the "it" was neither male nor female, but rather one of the non-humaniod followers.

I hope the other 3 will be a Super-Mutant, Deathclaw, and Gecko.

Hmm. So it's going to be a non-humanoid companion? I guess we'll just have to wait until someone spills the beans or the game comes out.

Edit: It might be a Super Mutant. they don't really have a gender anymore and could be classified as "it". Either that or he just said "it to be non-specific.

He would have used the pronoun "them" instead then. Being the precise guy he is.

He/She would be precise. Them refers to multiple persons.

Not when trying to be gender inspecific.

Now that's funny.

Edit: I guess what that means ladies and gentlemen, is that Josh is confirming that "it" is an it. Not a he or a she.

Again, that's funny as hell.

Well, speculation away folks! Non-humaniod in the strict sense where robots are humaniod or just non-human? Dog? SM? Robot? Molerat? Radroach? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

Well, no one seems to have reported very many NPCs in Primm, just http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Black_Eyed_Jack and http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Deputy_Beagle. Either it's one of them, or no one has seen him/her/it/them/WHATEVER and reported it. If only I had been to PAX I woulda found it....damnit living in Canada

the water ring on my ashtray that I use as a coster has more depth to it than the Fallout 3 followers.
