New Companion In Primm

Post » Sat Jan 29, 2011 4:49 pm

To quote mister J. E. Sawyer

"Well, one thing I'm disappointed more people haven't come across is that there's a companion you can get, pretty early on in Primm, and no one has found it so far. It may be just because they haven't looked in one of the places yet – and maybe it's just because they've only had an hour so far and they've tried to rush through it. I mean, there's a lot of different ways you can go in the first hour, so... yeah – there's a companion you can get pretty early on – so look out for that."

Did you ever find this companion Intact Garden Gnome?? lol
Anything I can get pretty early on sounds interesting to me. I think this companion might be the guy who you were delivering to and you don't know it. They did say you were delivering the package to Primm. It's possible because you have a new face and all that for whoever not to recognize you. Just wanted to inform anyone who didn't see this. :celebration:

I'd like some old badass man with an eye-patch, scarred face and a bad leg, but packed full with experience and wit. He'd be good to use in dialogue, and you can ask him a lot of stuff that will give you a some experience.

Or I'd like the opposite, some young, inexperienced man asking you to take him out of this god-forsaken rathole, out in the dangerous world and teach him to be a wasteland wanderer like yourself. He'd be usefull for something though, but can't think of it now. Maybe he's good at repairing and inventing weapons, or he's a really good animal friend.

Both these characters could die easily in combat.

Indeed we do, but Paragon's used up all the cookies so what are we suppose to pay him with?

No he's in Novac, where Dinky the Dinosaur is.

oh i guess the information on the vault was wrong at the time i checked.

last time i checked it said that dinky the dinosaur was in primm.

but i rechecked and you are right it is in novac

a while back i checked the vault and it said that it was occupied by caesars legion. and i doubted Boone lived in a town occupied by them,

but apparently that info is wrong and it is only "under threat" from the legion

thank you.

I hope there is a lot more dialogue with the followers than there was in fallout3, I never felt very attached to them and when they died I was just like ''meh, better take my stuff back of their corpse.

Except dogmeat of course.

It's been confirmed that your companions will have better dialogue this time around. They will each have their own personal quest you can help them complete. I don't know if it was confirmed as such or not, but I think it would be cool that with at least some of your companions, if you didn't help them complete their own personal quest within a certain length of time, they will leave you to take care of it themselves.

This guy? http://misc.thefullwiki.org/Joshua_Graham , might be a possibility, wasn't there writing on the walls in primm saying "The burned man walks!" In van buren you could acquire him early on too. Maybe people didn't think to look in the infirmary?
