Not enough new Content?

Post » Sun Nov 18, 2012 11:14 pm

I haven't even gotten that far into the Dawnguard quest yet (didn't even get the option to choose a side yet) and I already put 5-6 hours into it. I can tell this is going to take me a while, because I don't rush and I like to explore the content. Based on what I saw, it's worth the money to me. I haven't seen the two new locations yet, but I have seen the new item types, made my dragon weapons, seen new random encounters on the road, seen new enemies, seen extra places. I can tell this will be an amazing piece of DLC.

Yes it is very linear, but Bethesda made that design choice because they don't want to have someone upset when the next game comes out by removing their actions from the canon.
my english is not very good so can you explain to me the word "canon" couldnt find any translation

Canon is the parts of the story that the developer's chose to implement into the next installment. Bethesda tends to make quests in the Elder Scrolls linear so that they can easily implement it into the next game with less variables.

** By implement I mean when they reference past events, like how the book "The Oblivion Crisis" talks vaguely about the actions of the Champion of Cyrodil from the Elder Scrolls IV

Can anyone post pictures of dragonbone weapons with dragonscale armor? I'm not a fan of plate, and I'm afraid Bethesda designed these with only plate in mind.

The Vale was... kind of cool? Yeah it was kind of big but there was nothing in it to do. Each MQ only takes about 12 to 13 hours to complete with all the side quests even if your taking your time. You never get a fort like we were promised, and even in the end of the DG main quest line you can still become a vampire lord. I do not know why it took them this long to make this DLC. This should have been 1200 mp in reality.

Dragonbone weapons
Which should have been in from the start. I wanted more swords. There are lots of ranged weapons, but not much else in the way of melee.

It all seems like reused items from Vanilla Skyrim for the most part, I honestly feel this Dlc is worth about 400-800 points less.
*cough* dragonbone quiver *cough* Plus some others, but they'd be spoilers.

Several new falmer rmours? I've only seen the heavy armour one. You can't count the hardened because it just has different stats. I felt melee weapons were what was missing. Apart from dragonbone, no new swords etc.

There isn't a whole new weapon set. There is only a Dawnguard Axe and Warhammer.

Dragonbone?

They finally gave vampires seduction a purpose...its fun to go on the hunt for a meal then use it on them then snack on them.. =D

Even though Castle Volkihar provides you with meals never ending.

I think its got plenty of content. What were you expecting? TES 5.1?
Personally, my favourite bit of added content is the Falmer revamp. I always hated their dungeons, but something about the new stuff just makes it facsinating.
Its an amazing DLC and ive not even finished.

Hmm , a question:

The Forgotten Vale , it's the size of Riften ?
Bigger ?
Maybe the size of Whiterun ?
I'm speaking of the holds of course.

Alright, it's ironic that you mention that, because I'm confused on that front. How does one actually use the Paragons?

Why does NOBODY explore??? There is a broken portal acrss the water from the Frost Giant who holds the sapphire paragon, the portal uses paragons to take you to secret locations
