Now totally burned out

It hurts, to see how stripped/dumbed down Skyrim is compared to Morrowind.... it just hurts. I remember going to different cities in morrowind and being BLOWN AWAY. In Skyrim I sometimes fast travel to the wrong city, because they are all so generic and feel lifeless.

Even the things like the Dwemer ruins city, it just feels bland for some reason.

To be honest I found the Dwemer ruins to be bland in Morrowind as well. The difference however is that in Morrowind they weren't long liniear underground roads with things to kill in them. In Morrowind they were more like real cities in that you had explore them non-liniear. This changes the way you explore them, you end up 'looking closer' and it becomes an experience more in-line with how you explore the outside world in TES games.

Of course in Skyrim's defence, dungeons were unique enough. Each was build by hand (not with lego blocks like in Oblivion) and many of them had a backstory to them that you could learn by exploration. But yeah, overall Morrowind was just 'more' and 'more open' which becomes most clear if you look at the guild content.

Hmmm.. played 200h and still havent completed much at all. I'm not doing any fast travel, that might be the reason. My main problem is that i'm drowning in side quests. I guess i should focus on the main storyline and do the rest afterwards.
