I don't know why people dislike the idea of going to Solstheim because I didn't think it was that small, and if we go there maybe Bethesda can give us some better werewolves that don't svck worse than mudcrabs.

I haven't touched Skyrim since January. I was feeling burnt out and have been waiting for DLC ever since. Every so often I pop back on these boards to see if anything has dropped yet. I was unaware that anything was coming today. If so, even if it is an announcement about upcoming DLC, this is exciting.

There are several islands in Lore that have't been realized yet as well as a number of locations across Skyrim. Remember last they spoke they wanted to focus on Expanding Skyrim.
Solstheim is part of Skyrim according to the Elder Scrolls Books.

Solstheim would be cool, but I hope they do somewhere else. Seems to me that Solstheim would have the exact same feel as Skyrim does. I want somewhere with a different atmosphere (look at Morrowind VS Bloodmoon, Oblivion VS Shivering Isles.)

You know, some variety! Solstheim seems to be the most boring option to me for possible new areas.

Yeah i kind of agree, Solstheim is very similar to Skyrim, with some Elven style architecture. Solstheim seems like a very realistic theory though.

For you that say that Solstheim is to similar to Skyrim think about the eruption of red mountain which could have changed the climate on solstheim, then some refugees from Morrowind fled to Solstheim and would probably have brought with them some of their culture.

I miss the real dangerous enemies, such as deceased zombies and ghosts immune to normal attacks... The Skyrim DLC should have those!

What else would it be? Solstheim is the perfect place. I know it was in Bloodmoon, but still. Snow Elves? Riekling followers? Yeah, it's Solstheim.

Snow Elves are not a Solstheim thing tough... nor it seems to be important in any way to them. Only the final battle against the Nords happened there.

There are two other possible locations:
- Atmora - descendants of the Falmer slaves may live there. The land may be too cold for Nords now but maybe not for the Snow Elves
- Depths of the Blackreach... you know, the place from where these Falmer in TES5 came from (no, they were not always there... else nobody would believe they went extinct). This is the most likely option if we get Snow Elves (it is possible that not every Snow Elf was corrupted by the Dwemer gene manipulation)
- some other northern island

I don't know why people dislike the idea of going to Solstheim because I didn't think it was that small, and if we go there maybe Bethesda can give us some better werewolves that don't svck worse than mudcrabs.

Because many people want to visit NEW places, not revisit the old.

True. But i dont think Red Mountain had any effect on Solstheims climate. It's to far away.

Alright seems like a good time to release the info :)

I am convinced the dlc will not take place on solstheim, I highly doubt that there will even be a new landmass, possibly some new underground tunnels and stuff.
