Only $5?

I Disagree with what you say, Dawnguard was in the Middle of Big-Small Dlc, So that's fine with the 1600. I wouldn't want it to be 3400 or 3600 whatever Shivering Isles was, Dawnguard did not have, a Whole new Main Plot Line, Realm, Tons of Creatures, More Cities, and Other Stuff

I have a feeling every post this guy makes is sarcastic... EVERY. ONE.

Anyway, I love Skyrim, I frigging LOVE Dawnguard and I think that assuming I would pay $5 for the garbage that is Hearthfire is an insult to my intelligence.

I don't like RP additions, so this is bad and people who like it are bad for being bad and liking things that I think are bad. I'm always right.

That's pretty much what you're going for, right?

Beth is only charging 5 bucks for Hearthfire? Have they lost their minds? I never completely fathomed why they are the best in the business but they've outdone themselves. Again. They have been under pricing all of their work. Skyrim should be more money than the average $60 game that has a fraction of the content and Dawnguard should have probably been $10 more. Now HF for $5? Beth...thank you. Brilliant as always.

:tes:

SHHH! Don't make Bethesda change thier minds!

I think that $5 is a reasonable price for a small DLC. And Hearthfire is: its core is building your own house, which will be a small (but very important) part of the game world.

I don't know how much Dawnguard is, nor do I know how much it would have added to the game experience for me, so no opinion on it.

As for the game itself, it's listed at 60 (I paid 45 for a used copy). But considering that I've gotten 400 hours of entertainment from it, that's not a bad trade.

$5 isn't bad at all. I was almost caught off guard when I was told the price. That's one footlong from Subway. I'll choose Hearthfire over Subway no problem.

I'm just saying that I would easily pay $10 for this.
You would pay $10 for Hearthfire?? You could buy two Subway footlongs for $10!!

Though both of those purchases will only last you about 10 minutes. :whistling:

What?

5$ is 1/12 of 60.. is it really worth 1/12th of skyrim?

I'd pay $15 for it and $30 for Dawnguard.

If it makes my Skyrim experience deeper and more immersive, yes. And a home I built, with beehives and a forge and adopted kids, will do that in spades.

I didn't ask that.. I asked is Hearthfire worth 1/12th of Skyrim..? Or, is Dawnguard worth 1/3 of skyrim?

5 because it adds very little content that should have been in vanillin Skyrim.
What makes you think it "should have been" in vanilla? They provided us with houses to buy and furnishings to buy. Did not being able to build it yourself break your game?

:o I can't get a subway foot long for $10 much less two of them. Around here one will cost you $12 for sure. 6" for $6. Big Mac at McDonalds is almost $6. And they are all gone so quickly. Nope, I'm having top ramen noodles and a $5 DLC for my money and I should get a couple of nickles back from that deal.

Each to their own and different strokes for different folks and all that stuff.

@Death Toaster This

Immersion would only be an opinion though.. If you want to stick cookies in the oven for 5 dollars I guess this DLC is for you.. Build a home.. Adopt a child.. Like I could go around the skyrim world without those.. But if you were to choose... 1/12th of skyrim's content, which Dawnguard is basically equal too.. Would you choose the 1/12th or the house.. Only can pick one..

Depends what you put on it.. Its 5 dollars where I am, but if you put minimum stuff on.. And they have monthly Foot longs too.. So depending on the month you can have better or worse toppings..

Cookies in the oven? What are you talking about. Have you ever built a house from the ground up? Hard work there my friend.

I think you've reached a new low when you start debating the price of a $5 footlong.

No, base cheapest subway is $12.

Of course a dozen eggs are $4.

Or complaining about the price of new content when you don't want it and don't need it if you don't. Those that wanted this content (and there were many from the asking on this forum alone) will be happy to pay $5 for it.

As far as i'm concerned, a DLC like this couldn't cost little enough for me to buy it. It's the sort of thing i'll accept in the GOTY edition. Like all Oblivion's DLCs except KOTN and SI. And maaaaybe Mehrune's Razor.

Sounds to me like you're getting a raw deal, and the longevity of two footlongs is dependent on the individual. I know a few people that take a solid hour to eat a 6", forget about two footlongs. :lmao:

Well, they are Subway footlongs, after all. And the price is in the name: $5 footlong.
Hey.. I may need this for a Game Show one day..
"Alright. This question is for $250,000. How much does a $5 footlong cost?
"Uh, $5?"
"Correct! Now this next answer is for $300,000. Finish this sentence: Subway, eat ______."
"Fresh?"
"Correct! You've just won $300,000!! Congratulations!"

Seems like pretty useful info to me.

I agree. A house-building DLC would only give me an hour or two of enjoyment. It would probably result in more frustration seeing as the player homes will probably be even buggier than the homes we have now.

But different strokes for different folks, I suppose.
