Only $5?

Post » Thu Nov 15, 2012 4:50 pm

Beth is only charging 5 bucks for Hearthfire? Have they lost their minds? I never completely fathomed why they are the best in the business but they've outdone themselves. Again. They have been under pricing all of their work. Skyrim should be more money than the average $60 game that has a fraction of the content and Dawnguard should have probably been $10 more. Now HF for $5? Beth...thank you. Brilliant as always.

We found out about your sarcastic post after you said Alduin was the greatest boss ever. Just so you know.

I enjoyed getting Dawnguard free of charge so I can't really comment on the price of that but I definitely think $5 is fair for the small addition that hearthfire provides
edit: people are just disappointed that it isn't the mage-focused expansion that has been hyped about. Its their own fault for working themselves up

You basically can only buy lousy indie games most times for $5 in the marketplace. It's a good and reasonable price IMO.

5 because it adds very little content that should have been in vanillin Skyrim.

Ah Jack Bauer. You and your sarcasm. Right now, Kiefer Sutherland is your biggest nightmare.

Is that sarcastic.. Are you saying that 3/4 of one hold, 1/12 of the quests, and a 1/12 of the enemies and NPC's are in this DLC?

Looks like Bauer forgot his signature move. Either way, you just should stop hating on Hearthfire. It's the greatest deal Bethesda has ever done and it should cost $20. It's a masterpiece.

Five bucks is perfect for this. Especially seen as how it only adds a house. I think they should've done something a little grander, like building your own castle or even your own city. Restore Blackreach or something.

Also, if this DLC won't let me build my home in every hold, I'll be very disappoint. Oh, and I'm going to wait very patiently before buying it just to make that and other things clearer.

Sorry, but I think $5 is fair.
You get your Skyrim dream house, and kids as a bonus (though I am inclined to agree that adoption should have been in the vanilla game).

If it's not your thing, don't buy it. I will, as soon as it's offered for PS3.

Personally I think it should be free to console players and should not even be sold on PC
the reason i say this is that to me it seems more like a mod tool for the players who are computer friendly
and the PC got the overpowered CK for free and all the mods they want that are fan made and can be redistributed free

Also another point that makes me believe it should be free is Mr todd Howard stated months back that small dlc chunks would be free to keep us going until farther dlc expansions and so far we only got horse combat that isnt fun after 2 min of swinging at something and not hitting it

I love the idea of the features but to me doesnt seem "meaty" enough and almost seems a lil like horse armor to me

EDIT

Also It is very obvious to me that they just want to get the MS exclusivity agreement finished before doing something better
probably was a plan from the begging lol

Seriously people who bought dawnguard should receive this free

Since we are talking about the DLC, were they implying co-op when they said "...and impress your friends with elaborate trophies!" in the trailer for this?

I think he meant your friends in Real Life and/or on the Internet.
