According to http://steamcommunity.com/workshop, it's happening today.

With the Workshop for Skyrim going live in less than a day, we wanted to get these changes out and ready for prime time.

Kentucky Fried Chicken? No thanks. I'd rather receive a big javelin through the neck, only to discover a particularly expensive gas bill tied to the end of it.
