It's amazing, isn't it? There actually seems to be more excitment here on these threads than there was on the threads just prior to game release last November!!

ye that because most people bought this game hoping to be able to edit it at some stage.

this is mainly why i havent played the game since release.

honestly if there were no mods to this game it wouldnt be as appealing

Now that I played the game for 100+ hours, will prolly mod a single mod for 100+ hours. Had an idea to make the landscape of Skyrim (except for mountains) into one giant sprawling city. Each landscape type area would be a different district with giant "great wall of china" type boundry walls.

Might have the areas that aren't the current actual in-game city areas just filled with bandits and forsworn fighting each other, maybe even a little Witcheresque areas with humans and elvs fighting eachother and some "notice" boards for monster hunting quests.

Cities have much more graphical and NPC detail than natural environmens. You'd probably need a pretty powerful PC to run city as far as the world will load in every direction.

Not really, since he's putting the cities inside a "great wall of china" he can just make it an instance.
The game will load normally with a wall on the exterior side of the world map, you walk pass the gate and the game loads to a new instance :)

Anyone know whether there will be any change to the scrpting of say, a companion from Oblivion. Or can I just dig out my old Oblivion companion script and slot it into Skyrim? I miss my old companion Gabrielle!!

How about a pet store where you could buy / hire animals that act as companions.

If it's not out by 12:30, I'm going to bed, as I have to be up earlyish tomorrow, but I'm kinda hoping it will be, for once, slightly ahead of schedule, at least since there's not much more they could have done in one morning so it's probably just getting it up on the Steam network.

4 hours and 15 mins (At a minimum.) It'll probably be longer. Come one guys, the chance that they'll be like "Oh it's noon, time to release." is small. Very small.

Yeah I got things to do tomorrow too, so I wont be staying up past 6 AM tonight. lol.

Sure they have everything sorted out allready and finished everything. So why wait until 2pm. Why not just give it to us NOW?

Then why would they confirm it to be this afternoon after already confirming it to be today? When they're running late, they don't usually give us a more specific but still on the same day time. They either tell us it will be later or (more often) not mention it at all.

Actually, it seems to be the time when Steam puts new releases/patches etc... So as a rough guess, Bethesda sent to Steam the CK today and it's already in the backlog to be pushed to the users at the same time all updates are available.

For that, I doubt it can even be a little late. Unless it's pushed back to tomorrow.

Sorry, really bad news everyone. Apparently there's a problem with getting the CK to talk correctly with SW so the release is off for now untill they can fix it. Might be a couple of days or a couple of weeks. Who knows? Holding thumbs they get it fixed soon though. :(

Yeah yeah, I'l a lousy liar and so not funny. I know. Bwahahaha.
