I haven't heard Bethesda post anything in over a week.

Its like Bethesda is a faceless company or there is just one guy making an obscure post every few weeks.

Why would bethesda claim the patch fixes the framerate problems if it really doesn't? Are they trying to piss off their costumers?

Haven't gotten the patch yet here in the U.S. But due to 70% of the forums saying it didn't, I'm assuming it didn't.

Man, where have you been all week? Is it really somebody from Bethesda or is it a mirage?

Well I've seen most people say it has fixed their frame rate issues.

I was actually out of the state for Thanksgiving. We did pin this information http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1278704-update-on-the-skyrim-12-patch/

Any guess on what time the patch will be out in the US?

SCEE runs on a different schedule than SCEA, but our hope is that it'll be this week. Once we know more, we'll let you know.

As in later this week? :(

Hopefully it'll be up by my days off from work when I'll actually have time to play...

Take it easy. Don't take it personal, most products that actually get produced in the U.S. are sold internationally first. This applies to Video Games, Music, and Movies. I'm from Bermuda and 8 times out of 10, we get the product a week or more before the U.S. date. Except for Skyrim, which because our country had a damn holiday on Skyrims release which was a Friday, I couldn't get it until Tuesday because every [censored] place closed and we're a lazy bunch of alcoholics clinging to a rock (island). We're so close to America so we're waiting for the patch too because all of our copies are region 1. We have to follow Americas guidelines. Which is usually a longer process. Some crap about "Protecting the youth" that Christians complain about all the time.

Hopefully the next XBox is multi-purpose enough to justify my purchase. The only reason I chose a PS3 over a 360, was because it could play Blu-Ray movies. Why buy a gaming machine, plus another Blu-ray player, when you can get both in one.

Now we must wait for SCEAmerica. But at least the patch came through, as promised. I hope it really does work. I don't want to waste money.

Hey there, through testing the game (I'm a software tester) I believe I found the problem that you guys probably fixed in the patch (http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1284052-i-can-verify-the-problem-and-a-temporary-solution/). It appears to be that memory isn't being correctly dumped and the system is then being forced to remember larger and larger amounts of data as the player explores things that don't refresh (like new dungeons). The outside world seems to refresh properly and sticking to towns one has already visited appears to keep the save file down. I've kept my file down in the low 4mbs this way for the 40+ hours I've played.

My main question is regarding quests. My own save file hasn't had any glitches, so I don't have this problem. But what about the individuals who kept playing even though they knew something was wrong? I suspect their quests are glitched for good since fixing it would require either a world quest reset (likely not going to happen) or individual fixes since everyone's machine would be different (definitely not going to happen).

Other than that, it sounds like the patch is working for those that have gotten it. Individuals still complaining likely haven't rested long enough in-game to let the patch do its thing. I understand if you can't release any information, but thanks for the update anyways!

Wait, what? Hoping to be out this week? How does that even make sense? Skyrim was released in the US before any other country and it's biggest market is still HOPING for a patch this week? Kind of ridiculous. Some serious development issues right here.
