I was actually out of the state for Thanksgiving. We did pin this information http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1278704-update-on-the-skyrim-12-patch/
SCEE runs on a different schedule than SCEA, but our hope is that it'll be this week. Once we know more, we'll let you know.
Hey there, through testing the game (I'm a software tester) I believe I found the problem that you guys probably fixed in the patch (http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1284052-i-can-verify-the-problem-and-a-temporary-solution/). It appears to be that memory isn't being correctly dumped and the system is then being forced to remember larger and larger amounts of data as the player explores things that don't refresh (like new dungeons). The outside world seems to refresh properly and sticking to towns one has already visited appears to keep the save file down. I've kept my file down in the low 4mbs this way for the 40+ hours I've played.
My main question is regarding quests. My own save file hasn't had any glitches, so I don't have this problem. But what about the individuals who kept playing even though they knew something was wrong? I suspect their quests are glitched for good since fixing it would require either a world quest reset (likely not going to happen) or individual fixes since everyone's machine would be different (definitely not going to happen).
Other than that, it sounds like the patch is working for those that have gotten it. Individuals still complaining likely haven't rested long enough in-game to let the patch do its thing. I understand if you can't release any information, but thanks for the update anyways!
