But I can't tell for sure.
Let's see how the poll goes as it grows in the number of sincere answers.
If the result of the poll indicates that a vast majority prefer the first TES they played, how big do you think nostalgia plays its role?
For one, my first TES was Morrowind and it's my favourite, but especially because it's so complete with the great mods done for it. Let's think of ten: LGNPC, Great House Dagoth, Antares' big mod, BTB Game improvements, Vurt's trees/grass, MGE XE/MCP, Julan, Animated Morrowind 1 expanded + 2, Rise of House Telvanni, Blocking Reflex (a mod similar to Deadly Reflex's Timed Blocks, that takes into account both player reflexes and player character stats).
Even Oblivion has had quite a few incredible mods that gave a lot of flavour to it - let's think of ten: FCOM, Deadly Reflex, Unique Landscapes/Better Cities, Kragenir's Death Quest, Darn UI, Integration, Qarl Pack 3, OBGE, Oblivion XP, Nehrim.
But Skyrim, unmodded, is (with all things considered) quite up there with those modded beasts.
My choice for Morrowind lies not only in mods contribution for it, of course, but also for the constant feeling I had it was only me I had to figure out what I wanted to do, in a culturally/politically vibrant world full of guilds and lore interwined with the main quests. And also for nostalgia. But how much for nostalgia? That's a question I probably will never be able to answer.
Let's hear your take on this interesting subject!!!
