Poll - Ride a Dragon

Post » Thu Nov 08, 2012 8:37 am

"Your silly fence didn't stop my horse, what made you think it would stop my DRAGON!?"

"WTF, you're supposed to be killing them!"

"WTF, you're supposed to be falling to your death right now!"

"Wha-?"

*grab*

Oh...my...God. If we CAN perform surface to air combat, does this mean we can pick up Delphine and force her to perform a HALO drop?

I honestly think it would have been cooler if we turned into a dragon rather than just flying on one. I mean, think about it: what better way to prove that you are the superior "dragon", than by being able to beat them all both as one of them, and as a mortal?

I think during the main quest it came across as, to me at least, a surprise and that's why I found it appealing. However now I think it seems to have lost its initial impact.

I hoped they could resist the temptation, but heck, this is Bethesda. I think I'll only use it if it's required for the questline. I have no intention to use it for leisure in Skyrim, the world is too small anyway and I don't want to see the ugly truth inside city walls.

Couldn't care less.
I'll just wait until I've played the DLC.

I am 100% pro dragon mounts. I don't think you will be able to ride every dragon in the game, only a couple docile vegetarians.

Like the idea of dragon riding? Not really.

The Dovah are ancient, intelligent creatures. The call to enslave other races is in their blood. To have them become flying horses is demeaning to their image.

It's like if Batman mounted Superman and said "Back to Gotham, Clark.".

Yes I dont think any kind of dragon would be ridable. Also we dont know the process that will take to allow the player to mount it. And just perhaps, the kind of dragon ridable is not as fast as the normal dragons.

Nonetheless is lore-wise
Perhaps we are not talking about mount dragons, but mount A dragon, one who may be wills to help to kill the other dragonborn and is willingly letting the new dragonborn to mount him

Their "image" was broken the moment you could defeat one at level 5 at the start of the game.

Not against the idea of flying mounts, but I'd prefer if they were auto-set pieces rather than something we could do when and wherever we wanted.

Yeah same. I don't want a pet one I can fly around whenever I want.

I didn't start the Main Quest until 150 hours and 40+ levels in, so I never beat no dragon at lv 5.
It's not Bethesda's or their level scaling's fault that you played the game wrong!

Alrighty then, "To have them become flying horses is EVEN MORE demeaning to their image"!

I thought there was no wrong way to play an Elder Scrolls game?

But anyways, it makes perfect sense. The dragonborn has the soul of a dragon. Dragons wish to dominate and enslave. Being stronger than a dragon, thus makes them fair game in my opinion. If they were stronger, then they would not be demeaned.

From what I can tell it will be in the new land only.

Did you miss the part of the trailer where High Hrothgar was in the back ground?

Well, yeah...he is a joke. Alduin's been beaten by people at under level 10 on master with pure magic using characters.

You only need one, its unlikely to be eaten by bears while exploring an dungeon unlike the stupid horses.
I hope it's an comment then you want to park your dragon at the Riften stable. Yes horses are dull. dragons are not.

Well it would work if batman used superman capes as towels as he had too many after all the supermen he had killed.
Found it pretty annoying that I could not get some dragon skulls to mount on the walls in my hearthfire home like they have in dragonreach.

Voted "I can't care less", and "I don't want to ride a dragon".

Simply put, I won't use the feature if it's optional, but I'm happy for the people who wanted it.

I for one, am very much in favor of riding dragons. In the trailer, it looked epic as fu*%. I don't think the resolution at high heights would be a great deal. I mean, for the quest Merida's Beacon, I got stuck in the air and was able to walk around on an invisible ceiling. I could see everything fine and everything still looks fantastic. I do think inside city walls may be difficult, but Beth could work around that I'm sure.

If dragon mounts do make it in, how freaking epic would it be to have the dragon sit and rest on your Hearthfire house much like a horse at a stable. That would be very cool IMO.
