Boone = best follower?

Post » Sat Oct 09, 2010 1:36 pm

I'm keen on ED-E simply because he is small, takes up less room if he gets in the way. Also I think an eyebot robot as a companion sounds pretty awesome.

I don't really have an opinion on the others either way if I am allowed two I will probably swap between them to see what they are like...personaly though I think having two companions might be too much for me. Unless its a gameplay nessecity I'd rather stick with one companion if at all.

I am.

Me too, IMO Boone seems the most bland.

Looking forwards to having Raul and Ed-e the most. But I'll probably help them all on their individual missions through out the game.

By the end, I'm hoping to be left with Cass and Rex (to have one big shotgun-toting family).

I don't think I'll use companions for much more than getting the few associated achievments. I just don`t play well with others.

He is so far my number 1 companion that I'll choose.

I don't know, I will probably experiment with them all, like with what I did it F3.

Nobody will be as strong as Fawkes tbh.

Fawkes was so tough it was almost cheating. You just stood back, let him finish off those two Behemoth and 3 supermutants, then went on your merry way. I had to let Fawkes go because I wasn't picking up any XP from kills! Hopefully none of the companions in FNV are as god-like.

I'm going for ED-E, or Veronica (hopefully she is as sarcastic as Bigsley, that would be cool). But come on, Lily is THE follower. Blue Supermutant Grandmother with a virtiblade sword? Who could not love that?

Whenever i went to fight the Behemoths, i told Fawkes to stay back. And another thing, Fawkes died on me when in the Deathclaw Sanctuary while I was getting Vengeance, so I never had Fawkes after that...

Really? He never died on me when I went into that area.I hardly helped him and he was still able to do defeat the Deathclaws.

He was ambushed probably, and as he attracts all enemies because of his screaming, and gatling laser, they all went to him when he got stuck in a corner he couldnt get through. And I never got any of the DLC's cuz i got FO3 this summer. I used Stealth Boy's in there too.

I will probably get Cass the first time around since I am going for a neutral character. Also I plan to play on hard with hardcoe mode turned on my first playthrough. With her close range abilities and the fact that whiskey will give you DR but no ill effects or addictions that should be a huge plus. Also I wonder if Whiskey will count toward your dehydration. So instead of carrying any water I will carry only whiskey and always have higher DR!! That only works if it works to stop dehydration or if it has to be water only >.>

Veronica is voiced by Felicia Day?

Even more reason to use her. :D

In the real world yes. But soda also isn't made with nuclear isotopes like quantum ... so you never know. It would be like those old westerns where all you see is them drinking alcohol all the time. Not really realistic but I meant for the game, unless they have confirmed that is how it is and I missed it.
