I don't like the look of the horses

You should check it out, it's free to play. Well worth it for any RPG fan (in my opinion).

Don't mean to heckle you for your opinion but...LOTRO is very mediocre..it was a disappointment the day it was released and actually doesn't look very reminiscent of LOTR.
It went free for good reasons. It was an OKAY first try but a real LOTR MMO needs to be so much better than what they made...I also hear even with all the content it can be boring. I prefer Conan myself.

But this is Skyrim's boards so :P.

I enjoy it, the quests get tedious at times, but being free to play I think it's safe to recommend anyone to at least check it out!

Haven't tried Conan, so I can't really compare.

Conan is free as well and very much a playable, quality game. They just went free due to losing a lot of subscribers during the bad launch. They lost more as years passed and expansions didn't satisfy people. Now it's semi free(you can play free as long as you want but have limit on what raids you do, how much gold you have) but the new things added from the recent Conan movie and much more add to the playability and is overall far more accurate to Conan's books than LOTRO is accurate to LOTR.

You should give Conan a look if you're bored ;), but Skyrim replaces any MMO's in existence.

If you listened to the Dev Diaries, they said they didn't want to make them like the Red Dead horses. Also the mixed to Clydesdale with a bigger horse for the models because it would be too small otherwise.

Well, for my part, I don't care as much about the look of it as I do the CTD's riding one caused in Oblivion. Skyrim videos of riding one have me concerned (very choppy).
