17 Year Old Going To Midnight Release

Post » Tue May 08, 2012 4:40 am

Cops for curfew are just dumb in the town near where I'm going to college now. I was buying a 12-pack of Pepsi from a gas station, and literally walked 5 feet from the door of the gas station to my car and had a cop pull up and ask me how old I am. Not only am I 18, but I'm 6'1 and have a fully grown beard. -.-

dont worry about it dude i started going to midnight releases/game tournaments that lasted well past midnight when i was 14 and have never had a problem with cops they really dont care as far as most of them see it we are just a bunch of nerds who cant wait untill morning to get our games... also ive never had to show my ID for a game at that shop because i already had a note signed by my parent saying that i could play mature games that i got when i was 14....

unless your smoking/drinking skooma then they may pick you up for shady activity

my local gamestop is at is a local strip mall with segway mall "cops" and police frequently hang out there because a lot of teens walk around high

Good to know the cops have their priorities right. Harrassing innocent stoned people is way more important than investigating robberies, arson, vandalism, muders, raqes, assaults and catching drunk drivers / speeders.

mandatory curfew

What the [censored] kind of totalitarian country do you live in? I mean, I can understand if they stop you and call your parents - but if your parents say it's okay for you to be there then what's the problem?

At any rate OP, just go there and if any cop hassles you (which I doubt) just tell them exactly what you're there for. If you're in line for an open store I further doubt they will care. You have legit business to be there. And if you're white then it's even less likely you'll be hassled if that were even possible.

I'm Glad I live In Australia, we don't have any curfew, rules/ laws what ever ya wanna call it.
Then Again Im 29 so it would be a problem for me anyway, we have midnight releases they
just tend to close off the rest of the shopping mall with head hight devider walls and have a
few security guards watching to make sure no one try's to leave the area and hid in the mall.

As many here have said you shouldn't have a problem if your in a large group of gamers all lined
out side the mall, surely the cops would see all the cars parked out side the mall and figure out whats going on.
