What games would you like Bethesda to make?

Hehe. Getting shot by them for no freaking reason at the purifier when you first meet this so called " American government" is quite a good thing to do for the enclave indeed.

Oh and technically not even join them! What a marvelous faction indeed.
That's not the Enclaves actual fault though, just lack of given choices due to a very linear main quest

Hmmm, maybe a superhero open world RPG.

Or an open world zombie rpg.
Think about it a huge world where you have to survive (food, water sleep etc) zombies move slowly and aren't really all that dangerous unless they appear in hordes.
The real danger are the other survivors who might be friendly, but who also might be hostile. Maybe they'll steal your stuff and leave you etc.
I think this is a great concept for a game.

Isn't that what Dead State was supposed to be about?

There was an MMO in devopment that was supposed to be about that. It was called Stargate Worlds. I was in the Alpha, so I got to see quite a bit about it. Unfortunately I took no screens, but actually posting them might not be the best idea anyway.

No idea what eventually happened to it.

Yeah, I heard about that. I'm not a fan of MMOs, but would've given it a try anyway because I love Stargate. It's not the first Stargate game to be cancelled either; Stargate SG-1: The Alliance was also cancelled.

It's a shame really, because the franchise has such huge potential to spawn some fantastic games in a variety of genres.

Bethesda's worldbuilding is second to none, but I feel they could learn from Bioware in the characterisation department. I hope, however, that they don't buckle to MMO pressure. They are purist RPG developers at heart, and I believe that's where they flourish. In my opinion, Beth allocating time to develop multiplayer aspects to their game is time wasted. I'd like to see them focused on character and relationship areas in their next effort.

The Planescape universe, fully realized in a sandbox style Bethesda title. Many bricks would be [censored].

Before anything, I want Bethesda to focus on improving their writing and, more specifically, their characterization. Their worlds are interesting, but filled with cardboard cutouts in place of people.

As for a new open world RPG franchise, I'd like to see something with a more modern setting. Perhaps an urban fantasy franchise, something along the lines of Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines, set in a vast, modern city. Maybe a sci-fi series set in a city. Basically, I'm bored with wandering around empty wastelands.

I agree with this, they should devote they're complete attention to Skyrim and the next Elder Scrolls game. They should give the Fallout franchise to Obsidian so they can focus even more fully and intently on delivering a great Elder Scrolls experience.
More time always is always good for an even better masterpiece and not to mention more bug stomping time.
