What games would you like Bethesda to make?

Post » Mon May 14, 2012 11:35 am

I'd be interested in a Bethesda-esque game that took place in a cyberpunk setting akin to Deus Ex or Syndicate, where you can upgrade yourself with a variety of cybernetic powers.

An urban fantasy setting would be cool too, like what's being done in The Secret World. Have it place in a modern day city besieged by otherwise not-so-modern demons, cultists, and magic.

I'd also add space opera with the ability to travel to multiple worlds via spaceship, engage in dogfights, and fight on the ground using guns and such...but that might be a little too ambitious.

An MMORPG. That would really lampshade just how bad they are at game balance and rulesets, and hopefully make them take some actual measures to improve on that point.
Except all they would do is improve the stupid MMO.

Terminator Future Shock 2.

This. Giving TES a break would be a good idea. Didn't enjoy Fallout 3 so a different direction would be nice.

I'd really like them to try something with focus, character and dialogue. It feels like the sandboxes are starting to feel a little stale. If they had a bash at something more focused then it could be beneficial to future titles.

A what?

Anyways, I'd like to see Bethesda take on Pong.
I want Bethesda to stay away from that franchise, surely they'll ruin another one of my old-time favourites by dumbing it down.

I would like them to make another Elder Scrolls Game, I've been waiting for 6 years now.
So much truth that it made me die a little inside. :(

It'd be great if they could pick up the Barbie Horse Adventure series. It's been floundering ever since Wild Horse Rescue.

I would love them to do a simpson RPG (I love that show), although if anything I'd rather they do another Elder Scrolls instead of getting sidetracked

No, they'd absolutely destroy it. :/ They'd get rid of the freedom of choice and the choice-consequence-relationship that makes the Barbie Horse Adventures games so great and dumb it down like they've done with TES.

Lets see how Obsidian's South Park RPG turns out before turning any more tv shows into RPGs. :P

Yeah, maybe you're right. The moral choice system in Wild Horse Rescue is amazing - do I rescue the horse? Do I not rescue the horse? It really makes you think about the effect you have on the game world. The voice acting's so great as well, no way Bethesda could match it.

The Game of Life: The Role-Playing Game. No, wait, Bethesda doesn't do car physics. I'd have no place to put the blue and pink pegs that represent my children.

If they're quest items you can just keep them in your inventory indefinitely.

Which is exactly what Bethesda would do unfortunately.

"Let's make a new game....something....like TES, but not TES."
"Isn't that Lord of the Rings?"
*Bethesda buys the rights to a LOTR game*
"Alright.....we need unique Middle-Earth creatures."
*Cue Mud Crabs, Khajiit, and Argonians but with a new name.*
*Masses eat it up*

I'm on to you Todd. :stare:

If time decides the fate of the next Fallout, I don't care. As long as it is rich in story telling and content.

I'd burn down an old people's home if they ever wasted resources making a MLP RPG.

As for what I would want Bethesda to make, I'd like themto make more Elder Scrolls games. In fact I'd like them to concentrate more on TES, they could give Fallout to Obsidian so they could focus even more fully on TES.

Yeah, they don't do futuristic survivalist action justice. Outsourcing is the way to go here.

Well, we all know they won't make any of these except TESVI and FO4, so it foesn't really matter.
