ThatGuy = pure http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ad_hominem

In all seriousness I don't agree with many of Jonahirt's ideas either, but shameless personal attacks like this are low, cheap, and frankly, irrelevant. You have no good reason to insult him.

Anyway, back OT: under normal circumstances I wouldn't blame the OP for being angry with this woman, but it really depends on what you said to her before she died.
Yes there is. In an earlier thread he was just stating a fact and then he wouldn't defend his fact with logic. Ignorance is easy to spot out. He said people that are addicts deserved to be shot, which is just cruel and ignorant.

So it's not irrelevant or cheap. How is what I said about him an ad hominem? Tu quoque is what I say.

It's amazing enough to me that people still talk to their neighbors so often in this day and age, let alone on a friendly enough basis to ask for a cup of sugar. Also, why the hell do people need cups of sugar from their neighbors? Why not anything else? Why a cup of sugar specifically? Why can't you use your own sugar? Do you have your own sugar that you save for neighbors only and vice versa?

I'm not even kidding. The idea that this still goes on amazes me. I thought these days it was strictly a cliche of old sitcoms.

If the guy next door who always eyes you when your taking out the trash asks you "gotta a cup of sugar?". Then you know the reason. But yeah it seems like something from a 50's sitcom.
