new werecreature DLC after Dawngaurd and Hearthfire

And I'm sorry if what I say is offending anyone. But, There has always been a large portion of these forums dedicated to vampires and werewolves, long before the initial game came out. I suppose I can't grasp how this particular 'lore' is gaining more attention than other bits of lore they've left out. were-creatures are neat, but perhaps there are other aspects of the game and Tamriel's universe that could use more attention? Personally, from what I've gathered- they still need to expand on the lore/abilities of the werewolf before they can even think of adding in other were-creatures. All the same, Any addition of other were-creatures would involve a major portion of the next DLC, and I know others don't see the connection between this DLC and the idea of were-bears, but I would feel as though it would be a repetition of the same thing. I mean we have a thalmor problem, a forsworn issue, psijic order presence, continuous dragons, and numerous other routes we can travel down w/ the next DLC- I know they're short changing us on the transformation and were-creature lore, but I just feel that we need to broaden our horizons on DLC before we travel down that lycanthropy route again.

Me too. I understand that the idea of other werecreatures other than wolf might be seen as silly but hey Bethesda came up with idea. We just want them to expand on them. Not too much ask...right?
It just makes me mad they act like we're asking Beth to add a werepikachu-blueeyeswhitedragon riding a sasquatch. Its just a Werebear thats apart of the lore and the most common lycanthrope of Skyrim.

Understandable. I admit my knowledge of other ES lore isn't that great. Save for dwemer, lycanthropy and vampirism. I just always found the lore about it fascinating.
Yeah, I admit I'm a little too defensive about werebears, but some arguments people bring up about werebears can apply to any other topic on this forum.
Well like I mentioned. Werebears don't have to be central to the DLC. Just add a little side quest to them or something. I think that's what people don't want. Is a DLC dedicated to them.

In my opinion, there are a lot of things(like the Thalmor for example) that would be better fit for the next game than DLC. It's going to be a while before Bethesda makes a game in Skyrim again and werebears are pretty much exclusive to this province. So DLC is pretty much our only hope of getting werebears any time soon.

And to be honest, I see waay more threads about the Dwemer returning or a war with the Thalmor, than I do werebears.

I don't understand why people keep saying if they add Werebears they will be the "major portion" of the next DLC. Beth can add them in as a side quest and no they won't have to add a "faction/guild" for them. Idk why they did that with the Companions because it has everyone thinking that every werecreature or vampire needs a guild and they don't. Beth can add them in as they did the new dragons or mounted combat it won't be the "major portion" of the DLC. And every thing you mentioned is in the game in one form or another and we have plenty of it. Why not add something completely new (like the Werebear) and no it won't be the same as a Werewolf its impossible a bear and a wolf are totally different.

They had a prime chance to add werebears with Dawnguard, Gunmar being that prime chance . They COULD have easily added it into Dawnguard along with the new perk tree, hell becoming a werebear could have been the reward for filling out the entire perk tree but they chose to throw us werewolves a bone all because of the attention that the fangers got with the DLC. And to be honest the bone that they did throw us really isn't as good as it could have been, take a look at the werewolf perk tree from the Game Jam video and compare it to the perk tree that we got, then tell me if we got enough attention. If you ask me the addition of the werewolf perk tree was only added because Beth knew that every werewolf fan would have screamed bloody murder with the fact that the fangers got an entire DLC dedicated to them and yet nothing for us werewolves.

Don't get me wrong, the perk tree is a welcomed addition but it could have been better, ie : the perk tree that was shown in the Game Jam video.

I think they should add in a creature based on Thief combat.. Werewolf = Warrior... Vampire = Mage.. nonexistent = mage

But I don't play were-creatures.. And find them quite over-rated..

Speaking as a werewolf myself I have pulled off some amazing stuff while in werewolf form, it's no easy task taking down a legendary dragon while in beast form not to mention killing Harkon as a werewolf just for spite

edit : I forgot to mention wiping the entire map clean of life 3-4 times over, maul count of 1500 with 105 transformations.

I've think I've seen enough of werewolves, vampire lords, and whatever other things to transform into. Would like something new.
I agree. Political issues and war is what we need in the game.
