new werecreature DLC after Dawngaurd and Hearthfire

Personally, I don't see them travelling down the transformation aspect again... That would be too repetitive and would show a lack of creativity on Beth's part. No, they'll take us down a different path.

Come on it not like we are asking for were pokemon or were(something totally not lore related). I dont see why people have a problem with werebears?? I don't see the need in the werebutterflies, werehorses, and were(not lore creature) posts??

I don't remember me being against werebears? In fact:
Agreed. Werebears, SHOULD have been in the game in the first place. Skyrim has the most of them. I would be okay with them adding Werebears in as well. But there are Werecrocodiles, Werevultures, Werelions, Wereboars (which appeared in Daggerfall), and Weresharks. Though, that is a little too much lycanthropy for one game and it wouldn't go well with lore. Though, I can see other lycan creatures being used in future TES games. Really want to be a Werecrocodile in Black Marsh.

Golly, I post one little thing to joke around and people take it the wrong way. Please don't rip my head off!

Some people just aren't interested in Vampires and Lycanthropes. Me I love them and I will gladly accept more  .
The same for me.

I gotta say, we have a lycan faction and a vampire faction. I don't think we need any more. I would rather see new factions introduced that have nothing to do with turning into a new beast form.

Bethesda doesn't have to add a whole new faction for werebears, they could add them in a sidequest or add them as wild creature that can infect the PC.

You tell me where the Lycanthrop faction is, so I can go join them. If you mean the Companions, I wouldn't consider them a werewolf faction. All the Companions are is a bunch of warriors who just so happen to have the gift of Lycanthropy, Hircine didn't give them the gift, the Glenmor witches gave them the gift and it wasn't even true Lycanthropy it was a cheap knock off to give the founding fathers of the Companions more power. So if you would be so kind as to point me in the direction of this Lycanthrop faction you speak of.

As for the fangers...... I'd sooner rot in the belly of a dragon then become a fanger. ( sorry vampire fans )

It no forced lunar transformation but you can use the cursed ring of Hircine. But you had better be ready for situations where you fight an entire town or run as fast as your paws can go.

It is not a lunar transformation. the cursed Ring of Hircine randomized the transformation, but it is not influenced by the moons nor does it happen at night. It would be great to have our characters shift to werewolves at a full moon and turn back to human form in the morning like the previous games and real folklore.

I know but it's as close as a console players gonna get unless you enforce some personal rules to only change during a full moon. That's what I do anyway, there's a full moon from the 24th of the month to the 26-27th, I'll even do it if I'm questing or in a town or something.

Yeah i know you can roleplay it, but i'd just personally like them to enforce it on the game, do that and i'm a happy pup.

I do want to add, I think the idea of forced lunar transformations for lycans is a great one. I would love to see that.

As for the person who asked earlier, yes, I do mean the Companions are the lycan faction. i get what you mean, they aren't heavily focused on lycanthropy. But the entire quest line focuses on hunting down werewolf hunters so the circle can live in peace. Also, the totems of hircine add a bit more lycan lore to the faction. It by no means is entirely about lycanthropy, but it is still a significant emphasis of the Companions faction.

I agree, lunar transformations would make roleplaying a werewolf more fun, but I will be disappointed if Bethesda doesn't add werebears in a future DLC/expansion. Since it's most likely going to be a long time before bethesda makes another game that takes place in Skyrim.

That is true. It's probably the province you will find them most in. It's strange to be in Skyrim and not have werebears.

They need to seriously stay away from DLC creation until they get a few serious bugs in Dawnguard patched out. I'm actually thinking about returning to vanilla Skyrim until another patch or two comes down the pike.

It's odd that people don't even mention them(Not counting Maiq the liar) not even in books that we find.

They are mentioned. In the in-game book http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Lycanthropic_Legends_of_Skyrim, the author suggests that the rumours of werebears are likely just exaggerations.

They're also mentioned in the in-game book http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:On_Lycanthropy as the most common lycanthrope in Skyrim and they're directly encountered in the novel http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Infernal_City by Greg Keyes. I think the book 'Lycanthropic Legends of Skyrim' was made so bethesda could have an excuse why werebears aren't in the game. Also the book that you mentioned pretty much calls unicorns a myth and if you played Oblivion you would know the truth to that.
