Dragon weapon disappointment : V - Skyrim

The dragon sword really disappointed me, looks like a chipped tooth pic with a hilt, the great sword is the sixiest thing ever though.

I love the new weapons and love to make my arrows but why in heck do they give you a crossbow and bolts but you cant smith them now.. some one need to be kicked in the ba--s... I suppose we have to wait for the next expantion next year for that now.. I would love to know what those people are thinking doing stuff like that? if you give new weapons let us smith them please.. a dragon bone or daedric crossbow with matching bolts would rock.

I expected them to look more interesting than they did as well. I was hoping for maybe a skull like bow or a sword with a skull handguard and a blade protruding out of the mouth of it.

I think it would be interesting if they would of mixed daedra and dragon components and made some sort of demonic dragon bone armor/weapon set.

OT: Is anyone at all dissapointed that the Crossbow only goes up to Dwarven? I was hoping to be able to get either a daedric or even a dragonbone crossbow of some sort.

Even though I hate the bow (which is ironic because im an archer), I love the rest of them.
The sword is amazing. Thank god it doesnt look as stupid as Daedric.
But the war hammer?! *droool* its sosososos awesome... and phallic.
I love the Br00tal look. Fancy designs have to place in skyrim.

Yeah, I think the Daedric weapons look far better- especially the sword, greatsword and battle axe. I mean, the Dragon Bone mace and DG warhammer look utterly ridiculous.

Dagger- Good
Sword - Love the way it looks in first person
Greatsword- Perfect.
Battleaxe- COMPLETE badassery
Warhammer- Wasn't expecting something so simple, but I like. Reminds me of basic bone hammer from Monster Hunter.
Mace- BLEH
Waraxe- Shape seems very awkward to use.
Bow- Maybe should have been more heavy duty looking

I was real exited to finally be able to use dragon weapons, but I must say they don't look half as awesome as I thought they would.

I was expected something magnificent featuring a truly epic combination of metal and bone in harmony together creating a masterpiece.

Instead I only see a piece of metal with a bit of bone attatched to it ... :'(

Anybody else feel the same way?

lol same, i was expecting some crazy, monster hunter. dark souls type uber weapons lmao. im happy with the damage but they dont look as epic as i hoped xD

its because in the lore which i discovered while playing dawnguard is that the dwemer invented the crossbow. the steel crossbows are a cheap copy and it would take incredible skill to create crossbows with a whole new material.

It's funny because us PC players have have dragon bone weapons (which by the way look better than Bethesdas) for ages. :biggrin:

It's a shame that what should be an iconic weapon set is so sub par...

There are modder made versions of Dragonbone weapons that look vastly superior.

Thats a matter of opinion. I prefer the look of Bethesda's over the modded ones.

Yeah but if you do that you'll end up on the "Why was I banned" website. lol. you should look it up sometime. great for a laugh.

lol, only a fool mods their xbox or ps3, especially if its an xbox or ps3 with all their stuff on it
