Strangely, it hasn't died... keep it going, keep it going!
Much like the bloody filesize that's causing the problem!

Bethesda you [censored]s, why would you rip off poor PS3 gamers with your unplayable game? I would just like to let you guys know I [censored] pirated the [censored] out of this game on PC (which I never do) and handed it out to numerous friends, all out of spite. svck [censored].

Right, but they wouldn't just be banning you. We kind of want to keep this thread open, if possible.

Mine's not quite this bad... Yet.

But it's close, and I know it can get much worse than this.

You spent so much time playing with 5 fps that you forgot what 30 looks like...

That's barely playable. Looked like the horse rides in my 600 hour Oblivion game.

Damn, I had no idea some of you were having it that bad...

I would have stopped playing long before it got that bad.

I would too, but I'm having bad luck this time coz I'm going away in few weeks so I don't have time to wait and hope for a patch.

But yes, it's pretty much worse, like watching damn slide show...

Thanks. Yeah, I've noticed the fall forest area just seems inherently worse and sluggish... even without a large saved data file size, so with it, the effects would be amplified, I assume. The geyser-filled area is also pretty bad. I do get a lot of the random stuttering you're seeing, although my game is running a bit smoother at a lower file size, at the moment, but regardless, the Rift (fall forest) is already unbearable, to me, and this issue is clearly problematic. You were saying something as the video cut off at the end. What was it?

My problem began with an quest-mission. Sound-data wasnt there anymore (means: i knew something spoke to me but there was no voice) I could completed the mission but it was really annoying not to know whats about and so on. After i recordnize the missing voice-data the big shaite just started. I had half-second slowdowns on "shouts" and changing weapons and spells become a real nightmare.
Sometimes the game seems stable but even in a "small area", like a dungoen, i had huge fps drops. For me its unplayable now.

Unless we can get Bethesda to formally acknowledge the issue on the PS3, I don't think they'll fix the issue. All we can do is continually reassert the problem hoping they'll notice and take action.

As a gamer it's incredibly frustrating to be sold a game, thinking it's going to be of "equal" quality, only to realize it's not. It's absurd.

Bethesda, do something about it, and you'll retain your loyal PS3 fans. Do nothing, and you'll start losing them.

Hello everyone,
I must say that I am pretty shocked about how Bethesda is manag... is NOT managing this issue. Or maybe.. they are doing it as a super-secret mission!!
We all here love The Elder Scroll games, and we all here wanted to love Skyrim.
Currently the PS3 version (I can only speak of it as didn't try the other versions) which has been distributed all over the world is a pre-alpha version!
I couldn't play it as much as I wished as it is nearly unplayable, the 2 main issues I experienced up to level 5 are:

- massive lag/freeze when switching from 1 set of weapons/magics to another using the favourite presets. This caused often a sudden death, as when the game unfreezed I was unarmed and the bad guy just [censored] me in a second
- several long minutes loading time at game start

I am wondering why no dev is posting in the forums, after all these claims this is really shocking: is this what game industry turned in?? Just burst a big hype before game launch and then blow to the masses an unfinished product? A little voice inside me is answering: yes!
All started with xbox360 when launched, milions of customers had their consoles screwed by RROD just because the company wasn't fair with customers and didn't properly test their product before selling it, and they were also able to avoid a world class action as they deserved.
Seems that Bethesda made something similar here. Was this game tested at all before going to launch???

I have to say that I trusted Bethesda up to now due to the superb quality of their games, but now I acknowledge that they are just mere sharks as each big company in this poor world...
We (customers) lose, they win! :(

IGN have this quick news article up

http://uk.ps3.ign.com/articles/121/1212792p1.html?RSSwhen2011-11-17_111000&RSSid=1212792&utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+ignfeeds%2Fps3+%28IGN+PS3%29

in summary, Bethesda are looking into it. In the meantime it's frustrating though :(

Unfortunately, yes!
It's not just bethesda either, it's almost everybody.
Release first, patch later.

They have already acknowledge this issue for the PS3 and say are working on it to be fixed in the next patch that will also fix other bugs across all platforms. We just have to wait for the patch and see if it really fixed the problem.

I'm so sick of seeing that quote from Bethesda saying 'most people aren't experiencing these issues'. Has common sense just grown wings and flown up a cows butt or something?

Its blindingly obvious to most people with an Iq above 2 that...'Most people aren't experiencing these issues' because most people (of the millions of PS3 users) have not yet accumulated enough play time for their save file to grow to the size where the frame rate drops. But aside from a few trolls on here trying to claim they're fine.. it seems across the web that everyone who HAS reached that point iS experiencing these issues. As will the 'most people' when they too arrive at that critical save point size of 6-7mb.

Therefore this poorly researched PR quote that tries to make it sound like its isolated to a few bogus discs/PS3's is incredibly misleading and an outright blanketing of a glaringly obvious design fault with the PS3 version.

This. I absolutely agree. It's rather comical how they say that "most people" aren't experiencing the problem, when their own forums are riddled with threads about the issue.
