PC & PS3 Release Date [merged topics]

I can't stand the idea of waiting between long Xbox loading screens after playing on the PC version for the last 3 months. If I keep reminding myself of that it will help me hold off until early 2013.

You don't know it will be 30 days it could at least be a few more months. But you could just stay out of the dragonborn thread till then so as to make sure you don't get any thing ruined for you.

What is it about things being spoiled that makes you so annoyed?
What is the point in playing a new game you already know everything about...would you pay the ridiculous movie ticket price if you already knew every detail ?

Thats why I stopped watching movie trailers. It says alot about how crappy modern day movies are when they show the whole plot in each and every trailer.

You X-Box people get Dragonborn in...

I have an Xbox, yes. But I also have a gaming PC.
So I am neither an x-box person nor a pc'er. I'm simply a person who enjoys games.

As always some content will make its way onto the General board by members who do not read/follow the posted and agreed-to Rules.
But the Cheats,Hints and Spoilers board, along with the Xbox Hardware and Software subforum, shall be up within a day or so.
The moderators will do their best to keep the boards tidy and ordered. And anyone who cares for the forums can help by reporting misplaced threads whilst simultaneously refraining from posting spoilers...or flaming those who do. Just click the report button, describe it in brief, then move on.

The Sun will rise, the world will go on as it was, and my Xboxer will refrain from spoiling anything for my isolated pc.
A new dlc is being released.
I'm revisiting Solstheim.
Life is good.

I just want to know what new spells and shouts are added so I can prepare my character.

I will have to restrain myself from visiting this foroum too often though, storyline spoilers abound.

Hey, I thought thought Bethesda could get off it's knees now, as Skyrim has been out a year--isn't that how long the worship session with X-box was supposed to last--you know, with the 1 month advance on MS getting games first? Wasn't that part of the contract? If only 1 year--which has passed--, then ALL platforms should be released, not this bovine fecal matter smelling farting around monkey business. (And to release PC and PS3 AFTER Christmas, shows bad planning somewhere.)
Being stuck waiting until next year, (Jan 4th?) makes a PC'er or PS3 user almost feel like Bethesda sees us as second class gamers. OK, I'm done sniveling--for a few minutes anyway.

I suspect that any sales they receive from xbox will be more than from pc and ps3 users combined. Bethesda knows which side their bread is buttered on...and it ain't pc or ps3. Like it or not, that's just the way it is. We will have to wait until the exclusivity is over.

Modern movie trailers still aren't as spoilerish as those from the 1930's and 1940's.

Anyway, I really don't think it's a good idea to expect Dragonborn to release next month for PC and PS3, because they specifically said "early 2013," which might mean anywhere from early to mid to late January or possibly even February. Remember, you have to factor in the holidays as well (in addition to the size of Dragonborn), and I'm sure that there are many employees who go on vacation during this time of year, so don't get worked up if the DLC doesn't come immediately after the 4th of January.

That said, I think it might launch early on in January, but I'm not unreasonably expecting it to come that early because they didn't specify "January."

Hide for 30 days? I'd say more like 6 weeks.

The ones that are clearly concerned will just go dark and avoid the forms all together.

Even after a year of playing Skyrim, with 27 characters and 2500 hrs, I still have a good 15% of the content left to be explored. To this day I could still come across spoilers in the GD forum. I don't really go into spoiler sections. While one must accept the fact that "there will be spoilers" in the DB forum.

The best thing is to just avoid it all, until the release for your platform.

It will be more close to 300 days before PS3 players see Dragonborn DLC. Even that might be too optimistic of a time frame. It might be better to add another 0 and say 3000 days. That should be a more realistic time frame before PS3 players have a chance to play Dragonborn DLC.

My hatred is reserved for Microsoft. I really hope they choke on their abortion of an Operating System (Windows 8) so that they don't have enough money to pull this %^&$ in the future...

I am sure once this DLC is out then the staff for this forum will create a SPOILER forum like we already have for Skyrim, Dawnguard and Hearthfire.

Just stay out of that section. I plan to.

Didnt read anything yet saying it'll come out in january for pc...

So yeah, we all know they want to have it exclusive first for a console, just so the many PC hackers dont get it early for free. At least they expect to get some money from the consoles, yet leave the PC gamers, the original followers of the bethesda games, on the background.

Only the few of us who actually pay for the games and the add ons actually get frustrated by it really, the pirates won't really care if they get it now or later, they WILL wait and get it for free, but like I said, in the mean time, us PC paying gamers, get second rate treatment...

Sure PC players get a much better version of Skyrim, but it still bothers me, as a PC paying gamer.

I know posting on the forums doesn't count for much but I just wanted to let Bethesda know that I'm disappointed in their decision to make DLC +30 days exclusive for the XBox. I'm not threatening to boycott them and I'm not going to say anything bad. I just want to let you know that as a customer I am disappointed with your decision.
