PC & PS3 Release Date [merged topics]

I know posting on the forums doesn't count for much but I just wanted to let Bethesda know that I'm disappointed in their decision to make DLC +30 days exclusive for the XBox. I'm not threatening to boycott them and I'm not going to say anything bad. I just want to let you know that as a customer I am disappointed with your decision.

I like the Darwin quote and I hear you.. But they probably won't listen.. They only listen to money..

I don't think people realize that as a company, this deal probably earned them more money that they could use to make the games we like so much. Even if it's let down for PC and PS3, it's good for them. Even though I own an Xbox and not effected, I still feel for you guys.

wasnt it because of the microsoft exclusivity deal? Not sure if Bethesda wanted to make Dragonborn an xbox exclusive but they couldnt get Heathfire to work for the deal probably.

Don't Worry This should be the last one.. I'm an Xbox user and I am kinda mad. But if it gets them money. Who would deny it?

I am sure once this DLC is out then the staff for this forum will create a SPOILER forum like we already have for Skyrim, Dawnguard and Hearthfire.

Just stay out of that section. I plan to.

Meh, the more I think about it, the more I'm not going to worry about it too much. In fact, I'll let the spoilers help me decide whether or not I want to buy it once it's discounted on Steam.

Just because someone has a complaint it doesn't always equate to whining. Telling someone they are whining is bad here. We allow folks to complain and we don't allow folks to complain about complainers and we don't let folks accuse someone of whining or of trolling or of crying or of being lame or any other thing.

Be nice. It's really not that hard.

I totally agree! I'm just providing customer feedback.

Perhaps if enough people rationally said they didn't like these deals they might change their decision on future titles... or not. It's not personal after all, it's just business.

.. yet they aren't able to afford the time to actually fix all the bugs and glitches in Skyrim? Let alone the ones still in Oblivion and Morrowind, and quite possibly the games before those as well.

Hearthfire was an add on, not an expansion. The exclusivity is for expansions.

Yet they delayed the release for the PC for it too.

Anyway. As I wrote in another thread, I guess I'll just do something else.

Like other developers, they probably have different teams working on each thing. i.e. team for DLC, team for patches, etc.

Love all those "it's a business"...

Business or not players don't care, we have the full right to be disappointed. Beth should be very careful dealing with fans. They are one of the few big game companies still respected. They don't want to share the same place with EA and Activision in gamers hearts.

We crawl into a dark sewage filled hole and greedily devour scraps left by Bethesdas favoured children, the Xbox players.

I dont think people really grasp the idea of a company and profit...
i get that its annoying, but hey
beths gotta feed their peeps and pay the light bill somehow
they may be big for their game genre, but its not like their selling 6 trillion copies of the same game every year like cod and mw
its just them getting by
so.... put on some big boy pants and deal ˉ\_(ツ)_/ˉ

Bethesda dosent pay attention to most things on the forums.

What they do pay attention to is money and when it comes in. with steam they know exactly how many dlcs were sold and even when.
Also dont be fooled, PC users are a much bigger base than people realize. Hell we only have instore purchases to go by since we dont have the numbers of people who just straihht up bought off steam since they dont release their numbers.

Best way to send them a message is wait on buying the dlc. Trust me the PC fanbase big enough that if every one of PC users waited 48 hours before buying the dlc, the next game wouldnt have same deal. Microsoft wont lose out on the cash cow either so Bethesda dosent have to worry about losing Microsoft business because Microsoft would be shotting thselves in the ass.

Hell the whole reason why Bethesda took the excluaiveness was because they didnt expecy as big reaction to buyers it had. Im even willing to say that the excluaiveness deals arent as hige as we would imagine and its basically the prospect of getting sued thats staying betheadas hand.

Point is u really want them to know ur diaappointed then dont be the giy who buys ot the day it comes out. Ne the guy who waited a week or like me the guy who waited til it went on sale. Posting in the forums really only tells other forum goers ur diappointed and not the peraon or company u want to aculually listen.

If they treat a portion of their fanbase as second class citizens those fans will eventually disappear.

I hear ya. I was on ps3 for the longest, but I'm on xbox now. microsofts 30 day exclusive scheme had a little to do with it. I remember how much it svcked to wait for fallout 3 dlc, especially for broken steel. I know how you feel, it took longer than 30 days to get the fallout dlc though iirc.

To Bethesda, this exclusivity deal is why I didn't buy Dishonored and will affect my future purchases of Bethesda games. I'm not going to go through this ever again, I find it insulting and it disgusts me.
