Well I swore that I wasn't going to create an account and post on here, but here I am.
First post. I want it to be a good one.
I am an avid supporter of the elder scrolls games. Believe it or not, elder scrolls was the first game that hooked me in to RPGs. I bought the game because of the vampire element in oblivion. I got hooked because of the depth and breadth. I had never played such a huge game before. I was giddy over Skyrim. Loved every moment, except for the annoying choice how the vampire was vastly inferior to playing as a human or werewolf. You can imagine my excitement over DG. A chance to live as a Vampire Lord and actually be a vampire with some power.
I am a PS3 exclusive owner. I have a PC, but I don't game on it. I had an Xbox for a while but it collected dust and that was about it.
I can't tell you how disappointed I am in Bethesda. Not communicating at all is worse then telling me that the DLC won't be out for 3 months. If you tell me the latter, I can at least set aside some cash and move on with life. But without a date, there is no end in sight. Many PS3 owners are threatening to not buy dawnguard, and worse not buying another bethesda game period.
Do I want Bethesda to get the DLC right and get it to work on my PS3? Absolutely. However, Bethesda is notorious for not being able to program well on the PS3. Programmers have stated that although more difficult to learn, once you get it, it affords the programmer more options. So my statement to Bethesda is twofold.
1.) Call Naughty Dog, svcker Punch, Santa Monica Studios and Konami - Find out how to program on the PS3 so you don't have to be embarrassed to admit you can't code for it.
2.) Entertain a price drop for PS3 owners. Nothing crazy. Instead of $19.99 sell it to us for $17.99. Xbox got it first. PC got it and can mod with it. It seems only fair to give your loyal PS3 fans something... anything to show us that you still care about us.
That is all.
