I can't speak for everyone here, but these are the things I would like to know:
1. Why wasn't patch 1.6 released on the PS3 when it was out for the other platforms?
2. More importantly, why weren't we told anything about the patch not coming for the PS3 for 2 months?
3. The plan was for 1.7 to be submitted for certification last week. Did that actually happen? Usually, they post an announcement when they do it, but I haven't seen anything about it confirming that it's happened yet.
4. What exactly were the standards that Dawnguard on the PS3 failed to live up to? Because right now, I'm hearing about a lot of different problems from a lot of different people playing it on the PC and 360.
5. Is there a rough timetable for when PS3 players can expect the DLC?
6. Should we expect these kinds of things (withholding patches, not communicating about why, DLC not being released after the exclusivity deal ends, considerably later releases for the PS3) for the rest of Skyrim's life cycle?
Questions 5 and 6 I don't really expect answers to at all, but I'd like to know (I'm willing to wager the answer to 5 is "No," and the answer to 6 is "Yes"), but 1-4 I'd really like answers to. Question 3 is the only one that actually holds any real importance at this time, but the others I just want to know out of curiosity.
1. Because patching costs money. With 1.6 being the base for Dawnguard (therefore required for the 360), and the fact that patches are free on the PC, means that those platforms had it. They probably knew 1.7 would be pushed soon after the exclusivity so they just held it out.
2. The lack of communication about 1.6 (as it's a Dawnguard related update) was probably part of the exclusivity..
3. Yes, it's been submitted.
4. Nobody can answer that. But a few bugs are different from severe lag and save game corruption, for example. We just don't know.
5. Like people have mentioned, if they said "next month" and it wasn't delivered next month, people would freak out.
6. Again, nobody knows.
