PS3 Release for Dawnguard - Thread #16

Post » Sun Nov 18, 2012 1:52 am

New update from playstation....no DG...but just some cool things...

PlayStation Store update is live: http://t.co/LrQYKHvL NFL Sunday Ticket, free Borderlands for Plus members, Bioshock, MW3, and more

Well Storm, one of the few GOOD things Pete said was that he was going to make sure he let people know as soon as Dawnguard was ready for release, and not just release it silently, ala PC. So I doubt it would just suddenly show up on a PSN update with no prior word.

Ok then. I should reiterate I expect an update on the status around the time they announce patch 1.8, most likely. Most likely it will be attached in some way to a new patch, if only to implement fixes and optimizations to allow Dawnguard to run, but could also be to add support as well as the trophy list we appear to be missing, unless it's somehow hidden.

Dawnguard not being released affects many of us. Just out of curiousity...where is everyone from?? I am curious to see how many different places are affected? I am from Michigan in the United States.

I'd be even worse XD
Hmmm, all I gotta say is if it's really not released it's going to be joining the long list of games I no longer buy from a company, I really shouldn't have to a. buy a new console ie ( the 360 ... *shudders*) or b. burn 1k+ dollars to get a new computer to run it at max graphics just to enjoy the games content. As I said awhile back in a previous thread "I betchya this is going be like Oblivion where we get skipped for about 80% of the DLC and get given the "meh content" in a GOTY version 2 years from now". So heres hoping to getting our game content, but I wouldn't hold my breath the gaming industry hasn't really given me much reason to believe they'll get something done on time from all the dissapointments ie. "Dragon Age 2's" notorious recycle a map 50x and just block off a few passages too "Blizzards" lets turn a single player game series everyone else liked playing offline and solo into a force fed "MMO". Sorry for the rant just if you wonder why the gaming industry ain't doing so well gamers are starting to say "hey buddy don't buy that it's crap".

Never believe stereotypes. My friend-who's-like-a-daughter-to-me is blonde, and she not only shatters the old blonde stereotype, but she despises it and snaps at anyone who even mentions it.

9 times out of 10, stereotypes are wrong.

Just a thought that came to mind. Perhaps the massive delay with Dawnguard's release is because Bethesda is not only trying to optimize things for Dawnguard, but for all future DLC too. After all, we all know that more Skyrim DLC is going to follow Dawnguard/Hearthfire. It wouldn't make sense for Bethesda to work for weeks on just correcting Dawnguard's issues only to have to go through the same issues with Hearthfire and future DLC. That might be where Sony comes in. To help them find the source of the issues so that it won't become a problem again in the future.

Also, I'm from Toronto, Canada.

I agree with you 100% i mentioned this earlier in the thread. It just makes sense to clean it all up now...to avoid a problem later

I hope you're right.

What i want to see when this does come out (if it does) is some sort of compensation for our patient (if you could call it that) wating. Im not asking for a cathedral be built for PS3 users. Though i wouldint say no. Just something to show that their sorry for the rather long wait.

they are probably smiling on the inside...

unless... they have no insides :chaos:

Might be a good idea starting a new character i might consider that!

I did that for PS3 when I was waiting for the PS3 copy, I got bored fast. I expected the game to be out before I hit lvl 40 or something, but no lol. I wanted to maintain roughly lvl 10 like everyone else, but like everyone else it just didn't happen >.<

I guess I happened to meet the 1/10 for a lot of it xD

A lot of people in my area fell into stereotypes (I'm in Maryland RIGHT BY [censored]ING BETHESDA!!! lmao it's not that long of a drive)
