Dude, those are some rose colored glasses you are looking through.
They said, 'the ps3 is getting a ton of attention'
Then they said that 'they have all reached a good place of parity'
Then we actually got the product it was like, 'Well try buying an SSD and deleting all content from your hard drive. We are going on vacation, good luck'
Then they said 'Actually we knew it was broke but we sold it anyway.'
They aren't working with Sony. They are lying - AGAIN.
Probably just trying to appease the few remaing PS3 customers who will be gullible enough to listen and still buy the whatever blobs they will pass off as DLC later.
We won't really get anything but more kicks to the tenders and maybe some horse armor down the line.
One of the reasons I made an account here. This is one of the funniest posts I've seen in quite a while. And sad but true. While it's true our faith in them has been shaken Anakin Skywalker style, I do believe they
are working with Sony. They have everything to gain from releasing our DLC along with the rest. And I believe they are genuinely working their hardest to bring this content to us. I do not believe they intentionally shafted us. But only Bethesda truly knows the series of events that got us to this point. And if anyone released a memoirs on this... it'd probably make the New York Times bestseller list. But I'm sure they all signed nondisclosure agreements.
"No one should be punished for their console choice."
All that aside, we as gamers must hold them accountable. We can make a difference. When the next Elder Scrolls comes out, or the next Fallout, I will not be buying it. I will want to, but I won't. I own a pc, 360, and ps3. My platform of choice is the ps3. I always liked Sony quality (though this memory thing is a bit ridiculous). Looking forward, I have serious misgivings about any product they release for the ps3. So buy it for the 360 then? No, that's not a solution---that's a bandaid. No one should be punished for their console choice. But look at these sales, look at their success! Why should they change? I hope the fallout from this farce would be enough for them to change.. and yet I think only a major decrease in sales will convince they that we as gamers have had enough.
Bethesda, I love you. But I hope your next game flops. You know the saying "You're only as good as your last performance"?
