PSN UPDATE?

Post » Sat Sep 11, 2010 10:47 am

Sony has officially gotten a bad rep kuz of this.....and their lack of information, especially now that they cannot confirm if our account information was also taken like our credit cad info and email addy...

yay

are you F'ng kidding me dude. these guys allow you to play on their networkf for FREE jerkoff. thats righjt a multi billionaire corp lets you use their services for free. and yes they gott hacked. dont you think its better that they are taking their time and fixing this thing proper. if you freakin hate PSN network so much then quit biching on this forum and go buy a **** xbox and get ripped off by microsoft for a few months and we'll see how fast you come runnin back to PSN. these guys are doing the right thing in making sure that their network is is more secure then the first time. what would you have them do just do a quick fix patch. and have the same thing happen again 3 months down the road? PSN has not goten a bad rep their getting a pat on the back for it. why dont you look at **** like a grown up and go outside for once shoot sum hoops or walk around the block. they will get it fixed. and still allow you to play for free. and i dont see why you wont get comp'd if you are a PS plus subscriber.

umm i dunno why it poste that 3 times. and i dunno why i put ign.com fir legit response in earlier post. but oh beside the **** they let thier employees put on for personal views. everything theyve reported on and reveiwed has been prety **** on the dot. they were one of the first sites i seen with info about sony settling with ghotz they were liek first site besides OSN noticing that the network was down and brought it to attention. if you got any other info about how ign isnt legit please let me kow, and no personal opinion because thats not legit.

@Lethaly, I am not sayin Im giving the bad rep, I'm just sayin that some people are pretty pissed off, and I dont hate SONY.

Where did I say I personally hate SONY??
I use their products all the time not just PS but headphones, tvs, mp3 players, etc..

i dont see it, I have been a PS lover since the the first playstation...I actually hate XBOX.

This stuff

and

http://www.nextgenupdate.com/forums/playstation-3-exploits-hacks/361859-tut-free-games-psn-store-rebug-cfw.html

Just disappoints me that they didnt make their network better to begin with, and sure nothing is perfect but at the same time 1 person or a group of persons caused all this?

I have been waiting over 6 days for PSN access, with no actual hate on SONY but at the situation and the lack of information....

No offense but you took me words and made them sound like an angry response, I suggest in the future you try to see my posts as either, humor, unbiased, sarcastic or non aggressive..

aand guys heres something that would help all of us out along with sony to help prevent these future problems. pay the 20 bucks for PS plus. i mean take for example on an average night on BLACK OP theirs 309,000 to 320,000 people playin take that number times that **** by 20. youll get 6,400,000 right their, and that money would go towards keeping the networks up keeep. but it is free network so they are pretty much taking care of it out of pocket, plus the ones who already do have plus. not sayn go and buy plus. but it is something that would help prevent situations like this in the future.

Ok to recap everything psn was taken down due to an external intrusion. after that they said that they needed to rebuild the server to make it more secure. They also said they had no time frame on when it will be back up. Today they said more info, that the hacker (one person) hacked into psn accessing psn users location, download history and credit card information they warned us that the hacker accessed all this information of users so they decided to take it down and make a stronger and secure server but they also said that psn will be back sometime this week also if you have credit card info don't forget you are in risk so please keep in check

Although we are still investigating the details of this incident, we believe that an unauthorized person has obtained the following information that you provided: name, address (city, state, zip), country, email address, birthdate, PlayStation Network/Qriocity password and login, and handle/PSN online ID. It is also possible that your profile data, including purchase history and billing address (city, state, zip), and your PlayStation Network/Qriocity password security answers may have been obtained. If you have authorized a sub-account for your dependent, the same data with respect to your dependent may have been obtained. While there is no evidence at this time that credit card data was taken, we cannot rule out the possibility. If you have provided your credit card data through PlayStation Network or Qriocity, out of an abundance of caution we are advising you that your credit card number (excluding security code) and expiration date may have been obtained.

its farther down then that read this

In 2008 Gates, while remaining as company chairman, withdrew from daily participation in the running of Microsoft in order to devote more time to the foundation. yeah hes not running the show anymore.
