The problem is if Sony was to give out an estimated time of when the PSN should return, and they were wrong, everyone would then attack them saying why they didn’t just say something else. All they’ve said is their working hard on restoring it, and can’t comment on information loss at the moment.
Not to mention their rebuilding their network infrastructure, which will benefit gamers in terms of security. So I really can’t see the issue here.
Of course, everyone is wondering if their information was stolen, which is rightly correct. But the amount of topics, blog posts, and crap about it being down has gone well out of hand.
