This is close but not exactly when the PSN outage started. Lag was increasing up to midnight but you could still get on. After midnight PST we went dark and were not able to log on. Most of Amazon is back up. Still no official notice from PSN and I cant get on to the blog since it wont let me log on.

Exactly. Just remember that Sony said on their blog that they are investigating the possibility of outside attacks. I've finished Homefront and am itching to get online... and 2 days is getting on my nerves. Hopefully it won't be like it tomorrow.

As for TC, no the amazon crash has nothing to do with PSN being out. PSN is out because they were having some network problems. Its kind of like back in 09 when the internal clock in their servers reseted, cousin the fat PS3 models to experience network problems. This happens alot to many Services, not just PSN, XBL was out 1 time for like 2 or 3 days because of problems like this, this is why The Network Host do maintenance every 2 to 3 weeks. And if I'm not mistaken I believe something went wrong when PSN was undergoing maintenance, because the servers started crashing around the same time.
