arggh went to check the officiall site and PSN is Offline then i check blog for updates and it sais its ON!!

Same, but the site is going crazy online. the small light that indicates the status of the network goes from on to off alot.

I think its just a minor glitch to be honest, still confusing though :/

THey are trying to fix thisproblems and will still be 24 plus hours away = hope we get our days back from plus subscription

Still can't believe it went down over the Easter weekend. Got Homefront on Thursday, and am desperate to get cracking online.

Apparently its seems likely that hackers found a way to download free games from the psn store, they were using some sort of old debugging code that initial psn testers would use to test the software. This explanation seems the most reasonable so far. The Psn network was purposely shut down by sony to clear out the old code from the system and to update there server security

Well its 12:33am eastern time and still down? But anyways isn't Sony a Japanese company? Aren't they going through enough turmoil for these hackers to even keep on going with this illegal $#!+. The nerve of some people and their greedy resorts.
