Rating (T, or M?)

Post » Thu Oct 22, 2009 3:20 am

Teen rating. Elderscrolls doesn't need an M rating because no M content should be needed to make the game. Plus, this is Bethesda's "Bread and Butter" game. They want to make sure that it can be legally bought by as many as possible.

I would be willing to bet a large amount of money on M just because the possibility of mods.

If it turns out to be anything less than mature I will kill people.

How mature.

"M", like most people say, because I don't want Beth to be restricted in creativity... If they're going for boobs physics, don't forget manhood physics either! Oh, and no boobs on argonians!

Considering we all know that we're going to see a horse-on-child beastiality mod appear two hours before the game's supposed to be released, at this point I don't see why the ESRB doesn't just go all the way and slap an AO on this svcker. Lord knows about half the mod content for Oblivion qualifies for it.

It doesn't matter what the original rating is, it will be probably be rated mature until mods come out bumping it up to advlts only.

It won't become AO I promise you.Thats why there are some things Bethesda leaves out of their games.

M, every Elder Scrolls game save Morrowind has been M I believe. I see no reason for it to be different this time around, especially with an updated engine.

If it does turn out T though, I wouldn't mind too terribly. I would be somewhat disapointed, I would hope they would take some of the dark fantasy ideas from Oblivions Darker parts and some ideas from Dragon Age, but Morrowind was T and my favorite in the series, so I don't think the rating usually has much of an effect on the quality of the game, unless the developer scraps good ideas to make a rating quota.

Actually:

Arena - T
Daggerfall - M
Morrowind - T
Oblivion - originally T, but eventually M

It could go either way, but I'm guessing it will end up being rated M.

I prefer more mature and advlt content. I also prefer gameplay that isn't dumbed down for the casual player. I like intricate quests, needing to posess reading comprehension and mathematic skills in order to accomplish a goal. Othewise I'd play Pretty Pretty Princess on some DIsney crap game.

Mature makes it forbiddenz for some, so naturally everyone wants it.

Voted M just to cover the prejudice shown to many video games. Simple fact that certain topics can be featured in magazines targeted towards young teens without a second thought but the appearance of such a topic in a video game leads to instant condemnation.

Oh this is so true unfortuantely. Mass Effect was attacked by media because of one very casual... can you even call it six? More like kissing scene -_-

Considering there is choice? I vote mature, otherwise we get choice options for the kids...
Besides, if there is a necromancy system, that is probably not going to be teen.

(Its TES, so of course we will get some lame necromancy system teaser, like the staff of worms, but we can always hope...)
