I didn't know what to make of that ghetto redux of the Morrowind theme. Write a new theme already - Oblivion already cheapened the original, this one is way over the top. Didn't all games before Oblivion have an original melody for their title screen?

Uhh, I spent the entire time thinking about that. No real comment.

I stopped when I saw Todd Howard come on stage, but wasn't expecting much. Then when he started talking about the game everyone's been waiting for, I froze, hoping it would be TES V. As soon as the trailer came up, I was texting, posting, and IMing all at the same time with everyone else how would care. I then proceeded to go into varying stages of shock for the next couple of hours. I still can't believe that it was finally announced.

I liked it. Better than Oblivion's, tied with Morrowind's. I agree that it might be good to get a new theme at some point, but it's not really a good deal. And it's not that it's a bad song, it's just become a bit dry. I really like the Nordic theme to it though.

When I first learned of Skyrim, I leaped into the air and squealed.

It was a manly squeal though.

Oh, I agree. The original piece is beautiful, stirring and memorable. It's fantastic. I thought Oblivion's was a little tired but then this...are they going to keep rehashing for future sequels?

But yeah, not really a big deal. Especially seeing as it probably won't even be outside the menu. =P

My reaction? well I woke up after a really weird dream and then saw this on Kotaku so I obviously thought I was still dreaming and then I went to GT to watch the teaser and I was almost crying out of joy :whistling:

I'm glad to see that all those old speculations about the game being in Skyrim are true :P

I found the trailer through a link on the Morrowind Skyrim mod project. I was skeptical: couldn't believe it was true.

It finally sunk in when I saw the release date - two days before my birthday.

My reaction? YES YES YES YES YES. :intergalactic:

I'm just going to quote some guy on the PC Gamer forums...

"Huh. Well, hopefully this will be a return to form for the Elder Scrolls series and not another braindead romp in Golden Fantasyland."

Thank you Bethesda. :)

This is like a Christmas present for next year!

I'm also thankful that you put a hard-stop date on my Fallout mod. ;)

Cheers!

I noticed that this is the first main TES game where the title completely matches where it is located. :P

TES I Arena: Covered the whole of Tamriel, not an arena.
TES II Daggerfall: Covered far more than just the kingdom of Daggerfall.
TES III Morrowind: Covered only Vvardenfell, not the rest of Morrowind.
TES IV Oblivion: You could go to Oblivion planes, but most of the time you were in Cyrodiil.
TES V Skyrim: Skyrim!

Of course the minute I start actually playing Oblivion they go and announce another game. Happened when I bought Morrowind, too. Is this going to be a tradition for us now?
