Hugged cousin watching in room when saw Skyrim, went almost ballistic when I saw mountains, saw cloaked figures and almost cried, saw Todd and prayed, watched trailer and screamed with joy, saw Skyrim and hugged.
Time-line ala Uncharted.

Disappointed. I disliked Oblivion's mundane, cookie cutter setting, and I have a hard time imagining that Scandinavia with magic will be much better. Sorry.

I heard "Dragonborn" at the end. Could my dreams have come true? Might the Septims yet live?

I'm only worried if my PC can run this...though i spent well over 2Gs on it so i should be fine haha. I'm in disbelief. Last week i was silently praying for a announcement. Not even a trailer or a release date. It will take sometime for this to sink in. :celebration:

The only thing I am asking is, is this using the Gamebryo engine? If it is, I will be disappointed for waiting all this time just for the next game to be on the bloated, buggy engine.

Yes, it is, though recently Todd said when you play it it feels like you have an entirely new system. They've done some heavy modding to it since FO3.

Okay, it's official, a year from now I will have no life. This game will eat my soul.

Runs a whetstone over his rusty sword. Tests the edge. Strings his bow and plucks on it. Smiles with a glint in his eye.

Well, here's my honest reaction. I'm extremely excited, been waiting for several years.

I've been waiting for this game so long that I can't help but think in the back of my mind that it may not live up to the supremely high expectations my nostalgia and passion have for it. Regardless of my hopes and fears, I know it will be fantastic, I just can't help but wonder if we've built it up TOO much though.

For a while I was scared of them doing Skyrim, being an annoying doubting loser, and I thought it might have no soul or fun spirit. And for some reason I thought that it would not be announced tonight.

But then wikipedia told me otherwise. I looked up the trailer, and my jaw hit the floor. The voiceover was good, but the chanting and the music really sold the atmosphere. If they do the Nordic lands, so be it, because they really got a good chance of giving it an epic, awesome soul to it that does it justice.

Quite thrilled that there is going to be an ES: V, and glad that it will be set in Skyrim as that was my first choice. I've read some people as disappointed in this regard, but perhaps they will be able to enjoy the game anyway. Plenty of interesting things going on in the world of Tamriel after Oblivion (and The Infernal City). I'm predicting a large population of Dunmer in eastern Skyrim, so it won't be all Nords.

I wish I had someone to hug. I had actually convised myself yesterday, while reading Game informer's december issue, that there might not be an Elder Scrolls five or if there would be it wouldn't be announced for an other year. I am so happy I'm going to play every game in order to celebrate.

When I saw the titled of the video at GT.com I had some sort of freak out, and to be honest, I don't remember much.

After what seemed like years of waiting for GT to load, I just found a low res on youtube, then I watched the trailer on the site with the headphones maxed, oh my god!!

I have never been this excited for a game, ever. I have also never watched a teaser so many times.

I even opened a bottle of wine to celebrate.

Oh, and I was slightly hoping for Valenwood, but the trailer got me plenty excited for Skyrim.

"Meh" pretty much sums it up. It was a simple trailer that didn't really reveal anything interesting, and it certainly isn't surprising that they're making another TES. Don't really understand why people get so riled up about a minute of dialogue announcing something predictable.
