Reason I believe Serana couldn't be married

Post » Tue Nov 20, 2012 4:41 pm

Agree with the OP! There is a damn Altar of Molag Bal in the Cathedral of Castle Volkihar! Hello Bethesda, that is enough! How about a marriage ceremony where Serana drinks from the fountain as well as the player to be bound in immortal, unholy matremony?

Until life do us part

Come on guys / gals your already in a relationship with her from the moment you release her, I don't know bout you guys but every time I'm out questing with Serana it feels like I'm cheating on Janessa, like I have to NOT bring here inside for fear of Janessa's wrath  But I can see her getting a patch like Lydia did

Stab Janessa in the back, sacrifice her to Boaethia! No NPC matches Serana. They all svck. Not even a wife turned into a vampire can match Serana, cause Serana is pureblooded, and her dialogue doesn't svck donkey blood!

Seriously after her comments about becoming a vampire and her not telling exactly what it took to become one. I can only assume Molag Bal wrecked her for all other men or mir. Have you seen that dudes mace? Ouch!

Who said she's only for the guys.

Vampires can heal abnormally. I am sure the damaged goods was brand new with a few precious pints of blood.

I dont know why people assume Molag Bal and Serana did "it". She only said it was degrading, which can cover a whole list of things. Could've been some blood ritual or sacrificing or something. I know what he did to make the first vampire, but that doesnt mean he does it to all women. Harkon had to sacrifice 1k souls, so Serana and her mother may have had to do something similar. It is what you make it, so if some of you wanna make it all bad go right ahead. Its a game after all and a game is what you make of it.

Because Molag Bal is the Lord of [censored] and Daedric Prince of Domination. And it is heavily implied that they did "it". One, because females were offered to him by vampiric tradition, and Molag is known for his infamous sixual history with Vivec and among other things. Secondly, when asked on how she became a vampire, Serana specifically mentions Lamae Beolfag and how she was an "unwilling" subject while Serana had no choice but to comply to the "degrading" ritual.

What, did you think Molag just squats and produce feces all over Serana to turn her into a vampire? :P. Tradition of the pureblooded transformation comes directly from the first source, which is Lamae Beolfag, and she had to undergo a sixual molestation before she was truly turned.

I haven't played through or even bought Dawnguard yet, but I like that she can't be married. She gives a reason for her refusal, and sticks with it. This makes for an interesting situation where you can't traditionally marry her because of something she refrains from being near due to trauma(I'm assuming). I like this. It just gives the character something special that set her apart from the others.

Well, Molag Bal is the Lord of Domination, what's a better way to dominate somebody than to violate them? That and she did say the ritual was degrading, and that the first vampire was an "unwilling" subject. I would love for my character to be able to marry Serana, but I think it should have a questline where, if she became human, Serana decides to purify herself in the eyes of the eight and turn her back on Molag Bal.

I think it was patch 1.5 that gave Lydia the marriage option, before that she was like Serana you where unable to marry her. It may have been patch 1.4 but I'm pretty sure it was patch 1.5.

She's the only woman who has some self-esteem, all the other cardboard idiots just see anyone with an Amulet of Mara walking around and go for it. Hardly consider that a healthy relationship. At least with Taarie I had to invest in her store first but even that is shallow. People are way too easy in Skyrim, must be the cold weather.

I think maybe Serana got some nasty STIS or STDS, from molag bal. Since she really cares for you she doesn't want to infect you. But she is willing to bite your neck and inject her vampire venom into you, so I wonder where she draws the line.

Everyone does because she's the Goddess of love and junk.

Not necesarily, aedra are "dead" after all. You don't need Mara's blessing to mary, that's just customs.

Hehe. I see the OP has learned of the "Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition" that'll release soon. Hope they finally come out with Baldur's Gate 3 too.

If they did that I'm sure people would really be trolling. I'm a Serana supporter but even I would have a troll if they included her in another DLC, her part in Dawnguard was fine by me but over the top for others. Beth. needs to put Dawngaurd behind them for the next DLC (bugs still need fixing but).

Yeah.. the whole "giving herself to Molag Bal" bit turned me off on her. I think that "degrading" is a very light way to describe the ceremony...

It made me like her more. Molag Bal has been known to take the shape of a woman.
