The Holy Hand Grenade has already been done, I can't believe its to be used twice ~well... I suppose I
can believe it, but I don't want to.

Its not accurate (at all), but I can't help thinking that this is like (and again, its not), but I just keep envisioning a bewildered group of suited execs that all resemble Peter O' Toole,
sitting around a boardroom table struggling with the alien concept of "just what do these loopy beatniks want?"; "What appeals to them?" "Try what worked last time."...
It does feel kind of weird that so many things keep getting recycled. I feel that it is partly to appeal to new fans, to introduce them to iconic elements of the series, and partly because the Fallout fanbase is so (in)famously unpleasable that every new development team on a Fallout project feels like they have to keep throwing out these "bones" proven to sooth the savage beasts to keep from getting devoured.
That
other forum is pretty funny to read right now, because there is almost a "confused" feeling to the forum posts, where many (of course not all) are excited about New Vegas due to the return of original dev team members, and manifestation of many elements from the discarded Van Buren project, but they seem almost ashamed to show it. The undercurrent is very . . . interesting at the moment.
Well, at this point, it's not just a reference to Monty Python, but also a reference to the Monty Python reference in Fallout 2.
References to references.
Yo dawg, we herd you like pop culture so we put a reference in your reference so you can nostalgia while you nostalgia.
That is deep. Though I am ashamed to admit I want to see the return of the fuzzy Elvis painting . . . .
I do believe that the HH encounter is not actually functional in FO2 without a fan patch.
Ah... the wiki has it

Huh. It just occurred to me that I don't think I've ever played Fallout 2 without the fan patches. Well, Killap's patch anyway.
