No, please no BioWare fluff in Bethesda games. I like (especially older) Bioware games for their story and characters, but really won't want the overload of relationships and personal problems of other people in Bethesda games. Bethesda games are about the player and his personal quest, not about constantly listening to other peoples whiny problems.

they gave it a very good mark...and again, i think they have a fair point...what we need is an open world like bethesda's and story and character interaction like bioware...:-)

Bioware??? Really??

im wondering, they say you can easily spend 100 hours on skyrim (most german reviewers spent 100-120hours), i spent 120 hours in fallout new vegas...(1 playthrough!) wondering how long it will take me here

Weak story and characters? Well I consider this one of the strong point of the series.

You might want to play the Oblivion main quest again :P

I am a duel German/american citizen, my life being equally split between both places, so maybe I can shed some light on this and put it into context.

Germans, like most of northern Europe, doesn't care for the cowboy, rush in, overpowered demigod kind of story. We will like it and play it, and even secretly enjoy it. Like reality tv here in america. A great story for most Germans would be dark, suspenseful, and with an equal chance of a happy/terrible ending. Like masterpiece theater.

Hope that helps.

Actually I did only once... the first time :)

I actually wanted to say the opposite. Who cares if the story isn't "epic" (an abused word nowadays) or if my character isn't memorable?!? I'm having too much fun exploring the world, trying different character builds, finding every possible remote location... TES are not games you play for the MQ but for the freedom and immersion into their worlds.

I've seen the phrase "Best Game Ever" tossed around quite a bit.

Funnily enough, not one of the reviews has had a paragraph devoted to the lack of attributes ruining the game.

Probably because that didn't ruin the game

I know. That remark was directed at the legion of whiners who were saying that the game would be broken by things like that.

Oh, okay. You appeared to be a part of that legion; Poe's law and all.
